Might be my favorite sushi restaurant in town. Unfortunately what covid has done to the way they manage the dine-in experience, is less than ideal the good tasted AMAZINGLY FRESH/DELICIOUS. All orders right now are currently being placed in plastic to-go containers. A bit wasteful but damn it seemed like it tasted better! The waitstaff here is also GREAT! (I dislike most of my experiences at restaurants because the WAITSTAFF and or their horrible attitude, AND lack of knowledge of the menu/ not being able to take an order right) I have never been disappointed here! And, I'm a bit of a princess when it comes to service. They really seem to be pushing for take-out, which leaves the restaurant fairly open and easy to get a table right now. Sushi-ba is "closed" to seating...

Horrible service! When I ordered I Informed them that my girlfriend has a shrimp allergy and that we need the rolls packed separately. We normally come in once a week and no problems. When we got home we realized that the rolls were packed together. We called in and let them know the shrimp rolls were touching the other rolls they said no problem we will re make you the two rolls. When my girlfriend arrived they told her they couldn’t give her the rolls because we didn’t bring the two rolls back. That was never requested, they informed me to just come back and they will take care of it. Then when I call back they said they would refund the entire order. I gave him the card over the phone and yet I have yet to see a refund. We will not be eating...

I got the lobster roll and the Avocado special deluxe. After the waitress handed me the happy hour menu I decided to order 2 more items from that menu.

They brought me my first 2 rolls and the rice was mushy kind of like eating dough . To the point that I was chasing every bite with water.

Then I got the bay special and fried oysters. The bay is a mixture of seafood fish shrimp scallops octopus row and onions. Super salty and of course nothing with that much seafood should be 7.50 i really tried to eat it but I couldn't the oysters where heavily breaded I tried 2 left 8 behind with the excuse of only having a microwave at the hotel .

Ps the server was nice and brought out food promptly. That why they get 3 stars...

Food and service overalls are great as usual except for a few things fall out of the original this time: Our fried Calamari was overdone this time. We always loved their red bean ice cream, but this time we were not so much into this heavy breaded tempura red bean ice cream that we tried out. Miso scallops appetizer: only if you like sweet n creamy Calamari tentacles: we usually loved it but it overdone this time. Anton special beef with potato salad appetizer: average good. Shrimp n octopus sunomo salad: refreshing Clam Miso soup: not much to remember for because I kept chewing up with sand. Eel cucumber rolls: my favorite simple rolls We ordered chicken Karraage too, but I am glad that it was forgotten since we were already full.

The most incredible and cozy place to have late night dinner I’ve ever had. My hubby and I are from OC and we found Edomasa near our hotel located in Goleta. We spent 2 nights and 3 days and had our dinner here 2 days in a row. Super kind owners and authentic japanese cuisine. I bet you will never find this kind of authentic restaurant. We left with full stomach and such a warm feeling of the owners kindness. I think this place is family owned and everybody works so so hard to keep this quality. I wish Edomasa is in Orange County as well and we will definitely visit Edomasa Sushi Bar in the near future. It was such a good vacation during our stay in Goleta.
