I live down the street from this place and Valentines was our first time there. I have delayed eating their because of all the negative reviews. After work our little family just wanted to dine out and this was the closest especially because my husband and I were planning on having some wine.
Anyway it was a full house but once we got seated we got to look around and I have to say the openess of the restaurant is very nice. It allows energy to flow through the restaurant. Our server was nice and attentive.
Im giving this restaurant 2 stars because waiting for bread and oil took longer then we hoped it would (2nd round). I had to remind our server but she said the bread was in the oven. When we got our bread it was cold and I asked for balsamic vinegar, it never made it to the table. Receiving our appetizer (dumplings) it was cold, our server after waiting tells us that they were OUT of the appetizer my daughter wanted. So my daughter ordered another appetizer. Another 20 minutes later after bringing my main dish they expressed to my daughter again that they were out of those as well. I think its pretty pathetic! When a kitchen is out of something they should be update their servers. The kitchen sounded like they were unprepared for the amount of orders they had this night.
I ended up sharing my main dish with my kid because we didnt want to be there any longer then we already have. I was not pleased with how unorganize that place was. It was a turn off and now I realize why negative reviews are much nore critical because a bad experience can be the last experience you have at a franchise.
Anyway we were never compensated for the long wait, it sounds like it must happen often. It would of been nice if they offered us a free scoop of ice cream to make up for their incompetence.
Going back for just drinks, I DONT THINK SO. If you have 2 to 3 hours to spend to wait for food or to be told they are out after the fact that you wait 20 to 40 minutes to find out this is the place for you.
I had a Sangria (red) and it tasted more like fruit juice than wine. I have had Sangrias before but if you cant taste any alcohol, you are just...
Read moreNo one greeted us when we walked in to the restaurant around 5 pm, so we walked to the dining area to find someone, stood there for a few minutes and finally someone popped out to ask us how many people.
We had to look at 3 dirty menus, especially my son’s which had a wet, sticky flattened straw packaging inside the menu, each page was sticky, like someone had spilled the food on each page. I had to ask the waitress to give us clean menus, but every page was still sticky!
The utensils were not fully wrapped inside the big napkins, they all inevitably touched the sticky, not very clean tables. I had to take the forks to the restroom to wash them before using them to eat.
We couldn’t find our waitress after we were ready to pay the bill. We had to walk to the front desk to pay. They need to hire more people to service their guests!
Ordered 2 pizzas, not bad, but the portion of the Chicken Tequila Fettuccine was small, three people could have only 2-3 bites. The waitress only served us 4 tiny pieces of bread, each piece was one bite only.
Not that expensive compared to other restaurants, but I’ll choose Olive...

The young cashier asked my name and told me it would be about 15 minutes. There was one large group and two single patrons, one person at the bar. I sit at the bar waiting to order a beer. The gentleman next to me is asked if he wanted another beer, I receive no attention. There are no less than six people working. Two, off and on behind the bar. Although workers return to the bar, I’m not even asked if I wanted a glass of water while I waited. 30mins. go by. I finally ask the cashier to check on my order. She does. It’s just sitting there. I ask how long it had been sitting there. She replied, she didn’t know, her shift just started, and had seen me sitting there. How, in the restaurant business, can a patron sit at a bar for 30min. and not be asked. . . Something? Why didn’t I just ask for service? I’m not going to implore anyone to take my money. It was a $56.82 lesson for both CPK and myself. I won’t...
