I really hate to complain, especially about food so I'll start with the good things. I called the store and placed an order for two $20 fill up meals and an added $10 hotwings, the woman that helped me was very professional and sweet. When I got to the store I went through the drive-thru because the rain started coming down harder; the cars went through fairly quickly and i didn't have any issues confirming my order through the speaker. When I got to the window the young man charged my card and gave me my order and everything seemed fine. I just quickly looked through the bags and realized that I only had two coleslaws and two mashed potatoes with no gravys, and when I let the cahsier know he only gave me one gravy and didn't want to give me anything else. I told him I got two of the $20 specials and that i was just missing a couple sides and that I didn't get any gravy at all for the ones I did have. He told me that when ever you order two sides of mash that they only give one gravy! LMAO really!? I just couldn't believe it, and then when he finally gave me my receipt he charged me for the full priced regular 8-pc meals instead and didn't include my hotwings. I understand people mess up, I'm sure as all hell imperfect too but to just be f*ed around with for whatever reason is unacceptable. I went inside to show my receipt, ask for the sides I was missing and to pay any difference for the hotwings because I did get those after all, but no one from the drive thru acknowledged me and the girl up front had a line. She finally got to me and was nice but I ended up just asking for some sauce because it seemed like the other customers waited enough and I didn't want to cause more of a wait. The food was great and everything but I was very dissatisfied with how the cashier just didn't care about an issue that would have taken a few minutes to resolve. I managed a KFC for years and I understand things happen but no one should ever be cheated out of what they are willing to pay for. Every customer should be served as if they were the Regional Manger or the franchise owner; if it's not acceptable enough for them then why do the same to anyone else. And it's just fking mashed potatoes and gravy from a bag, stop teaching bad habits to kids with no experience! Charge the customers what they order and give them what they pay for without any half-ass excuses. Any issues with the store being short on chicken, gravy, wings, or what ever the f**k it is-is the either corporate's or the...
Read moreAs someone who became a vegetarian at a time where I'd lived enough to have had all the fast food, but long ago that I barely remember what it tastes like, I'm always pining to have the experience of eating like "regular people." The last few years have brought a renaissance of "plant-based" options to, not just fine dining establishments, but the formerly long-gone from my palate fast food places like Kentucky Fried Chicken. I was super excited when they announced a partnership with Beyond to offer Beyond Chicken nuggets. The very idea that I could eat a meal from KFC, after more years than I'd care to admit, had me pumped.
So my wife, child, and I ordered delivery...each of us getting a box of the new Beyond nuggets, plus a biscuit, a side of mashed potatoes, and a lemonade to boot.
Kudos to KFC for offering this. All our nugget orders were seriously overcooked. The coating gave me a little bit of a nostalgic memory for what I remembered KFC to taste like, but the inside, Beyond part, was overcooked, super-dense, and not, I'd imagine what it should have been.
This is really disappointing. It's so easy to overcook plant-based meats...Did whoever made this batch just make a mistake and cook them as long as the regular chicken? Are the staff just not trained well enough on how to cook this new product? I'm not sure, but in week 1 of its availability they did Beyond Chicken wrong, and if this is the way they're offering it, it has the potential to be a flop. I really want this product to be successful so I hope they figure out how to properly cook them. The inside should be tender and juicy, not dry and dense. I'm sure this isn't the standard that they developed with Beyond and it was just a preparation error...but 3 orders...all overcooked...not good.
The mashed potatoes were as good as I'd expect from a fast food joint...ie: not very but edible.
I liked the biscuit. I eat a lot of biscuits. I make biscuits...this tasted like a good, buttery southern biscuit.
Fingers (human, not chicken) crossed they'll get it together and perfect this offering so we plant-based folks can truly enjoy it.
P.S. Why not offer a vegetarian gravy while...
Read morePersonally I was very disappointed with the service me and my boyfriend received at this location. We arrived about 30 minutes to close, which I understand can be annoying but hey you’re still open right? I manage a Chick-fil-a so I totally understand working food service and wanting to get off and home asap. But I also understand when my store is still open, unless I literally have no more product I need to sell what my menu offers, not only that but I need to sell quality product. Not hour old fries and chicken that has barely any meat on it. When we came back to the window the guy told us it would be an 8 minute wait on fries, which was crazy to me because at chick fil a it only takes 2 minutes to make fries. As well as that after we were told to park up front the employee slammed his window shut. And it was clearly slammed not politely closed. Unsure if this is ever seen by management but the gentleman’s name was Ferman, who continued to tell us it would be another 45 minute wait if the chicken wasn’t quality to us. When we asked him his name he rudely asked us if we were going to get him fired. I think it would greatly benefit this location to teach the closing team how to treat the guests that come through, not only that but to remind them they do get paid to work if they aren’t satisfied they...
