Ronin Kitchen — Restaurant in Santa Clarita

My husband brought me here for our anniversary. We had a great evening and thought the food was good. Unfortunately my husband had left his card there. We had called to ask and make sure that they had his card there. The first time we called, they said we needed to call back cause they were too busy to look. Which was odd. Has someone who has worked in restaurants, there is someone available to check for cards at some point, or take down the phone number and call back when you are less busy?

Anyways, we call back the following day when they open in hopes it wouldn’t be as inconvenient for them. And they try to say the same thing. My husband says that he’s sorry but they already tried this the day before and he needs to know if they have his card. They finally check and they tell us yes, they do have it.

Now I don’t know where they keep their cards. Again, working in retail, it’s usually the safe. But we wake up one morning to check our account from that card. Someone had stolen his card, I’d hate to assume a worker but they did say they had his card sooooo. Anyways, they proceeded to go IN PERSON and spend $3000:) We filed a police report and requested video surveillance footage from all the places they went to spend money on our card so we will be hearing back soon. Really unfortunate that a night that could’ve been memorable, and new place to go to on future dates, was ruined by...

Ronin’s on a roll!

This place is a gem. If you care about quality, Ronin is the best by a mile. From fresh house-made sauces to uniquely imported ingredients, this place does not miss a beat.

I opted to try a variety of options as it was my first time here.

The Special #1 (The Ronin): Spicy crab roll (spicy crab, avocado, cucumber, spicy mayo, eel sauce), 2 pieces salmon sushi (ronin style), 2 pieces yellowtail sushi (ronin style), choice of drink.

And

The Krakatoa roll: Inside: spicy tuna, spicy crab) (top: salmon, chili garlic crunch, serrano peppers) (sauce: fire sauce, garlic oil).

The Special #1 (Ronin) was the perfect entree. You get to try a little bit of traditional sushi with the chef’s added flare. I highly recommend this for any newcomers as it has the best value while still hitting the high quality you come to expect with Ronin Kitchen.

The Krakatoa roll really shows what makes this place special. High quality, unique ingredients such as fire sauce, chili garlic, and Serrano peppers which create an inferno of flavor. I am looking forward to trying other specialty rolls as this one was amazing.

I wish I could rate it higher...

It was my first time at the SCV Hub, and I was very impressed with it. However; what I was most impressed with was Ronin Kitchen. I have tried nearly all of the sushi places in SCV, and I can say this place is the new #1. While it’s not a traditional sushi restaurant that you can sit at, the sushi is truly the best and the environment of the hub is nice.

The rolls were super big, sauces were on point, and the fish/rice was extremely fresh. You can tell they really care about the product they put out. I ordered the Drew Sifers roll, Sean’s roll, and the bluefin sushi. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of the food because it was too good to not immediately eat lol. I did take a picture of the hub’s indoor seating area, but there is also a ton of outdoor seating.

I will be ordering from here for now on, and can’t wait to try some other rolls next...
