I rarely write reviews, but whoever was working as a bartender on March 19, 2018 at 11 should be fired now.
It was my girlfriend's 21st birthday and we were planning on staying for a long time playing pool and drinking alcoholic beverages, but unfortunately we did not feel comfortable staying there at all.
Dirty. Unpleasant. Dead. These are the synonyms of the Blue Lagoon. Our bartender aggeessively harassed us about not giving him a tip for the first drink. I don't know about you, but usually I don't tip servers after receiving the appetizer. He wouldn't stop; he was trying to make us feel guilty and get a moral advantage over us or something, and he was talking with other patrons about it. I didn't think it was worth it to fight back. He was incredibly enthusiastic and energetic, albeit in negative ways. This led me to suspect that he may have been on some kind of stimulant, such as adderall, cocaine, or Methamphetamine. I don't want to make assumptions, but it would make more sense if the bartender was on something because he was abnormally aggressive toward my girlfriend and me.
Please understand that I love sarcasm and I apprreciate light hearted humor, but this guy was way over the line. He was only interested in money, not the customer. My girlfriend felt uncomfortable about the entire experience, and we ended up leaving. On the way out, the bartender shouted, "you guys suck."
What a great experience for my 21 year old girlfriend (not really). 1 star to blue lagoon. Far from meeting expectations
Again, whoever was working should be fired. I was going to go about it lightheartedly, but the bartender was 100% serious about his disappointment in us not tipping him for our first drink. How could the bartender actually expect more of our business when he was being a complete unreasonable dunce from the beginning? He acted like the expense for the single beer he gave my girlfriend came out of his own pocket and we owed him for the favor, when in reality, it was the company's treat. The sense of entitlement was astounding....

Read moreNice place. Barback/"musician" Travis is kind of a dick though. I understand people skills aren't a huge qualification to work in what basically amounts to a dive bar but this douche is probably better suited to work as mall cop. Really if nothing else, keep him away from a stage and a mic! I love all music from the harshest gutter punk to doom metal and all the way to Bach but I've heard screaming toddlers banging random keys on a xylophone that sound better than this guy. I won't go within blocks of the place if I know he's gonna show up on a given night and I recommend everyone else do the same until he goes back to Ohio...
