DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!! If there was an option to give no stars and still review I would. This was the absolute worse hotel I have ever stayed in. I travel very very often and have stayed in numerous hotels and this by far is the absolute worst place to stay. Let’s start things off with our first issue. Our room. The room was extremely dirty and within five minutes of walking around in your room your feet were black covered in filth. The bathroom smelt of sewage at all times. We didn’t even use the bathroom and it smelt disgusting at all times. It was covered in dirt and the shower drainer comes out if you so much as touch it with your foot which then leaves a huge hole in the shower. That’s another thing, our room had just a tiny shower in it. The door to our room didn’t shut all the way. You could close it and push it back open so we had to slam it shut each time, multiple times to get it to close and the handle was nearly falling off. We stayed in room 121 by the way. The room didn’t have a tv remote in it so we had to go the next morning to the office to get one, which didn’t turn the tv off or change the volume, minor but annoying issue. Next there was the fact we checked in and they did not provide their complimentary dog bowl and treats as it states they do. My friend actually asked them for this when it wasn’t in our room and the gentleman at the desk stated “don’t know why our website still says that, we don’t even do that anymore“. So there’s a lie they put out there on their website. After we checked in and saw our room we left for the day when we got back at 10:30pm our key cards didn’t work. They worked one time when we first got there and then didn’t work. I went and told the front desk while carrying my sleeping child and they “fixed it”. This happened again the next day and again I had to go back to the office and get them to fix the key cards. We stayed for a total of three nights that cost us over $550. This brings me to my next topic which is the parking! They make you pay a $30.00 fee to park there and state that it is first come first serve as far as parking, as long as you have your parking pass. Well, each night there were multiple cars parked in the parking lot that did not have a parking pass and did not pay for the parking like we were forced to and yet they got parking spots while we had to park across the street at a METER parking spot. On our last night we wedged our car in by the vending machine because we refused to walk over a mile with a sleeping toddler after paying $30 for parking there. I called the front desk once we got into our room and I asked if they tow cars that don’t have the passes to park in the parking lot and he said yes usually since they aren’t suppose to be there so then I asked him then why are there five cars parking in spots right now that don’t have a parking pass? and the gentleman said “sorry ma’am” I demanded his manager call me the next day when they got in which never happened. Horrible customer service!!!!!! Then, there is the fact you can hear the plumbing from the other rooms in your room each time they flush. It’s very loud. There is no noise control from the front office so the other guests staying can be as loud as they want and that’s it. You’d have to call the police in order to have it taken care of. We were woken up multiple times each night by other guests being loud drinking and partying as well as slamming their car doors and such. Also, they make the pictures of the pool seem as if the pool is big and nice! It’s NOT! It’s a very very small pool that is extremely dirty inside and looks as if it hasn’t been cleaned in a long time. It was gross so we decided not to use it. They didn’t restock the coffee every morning when coming in to do maid service. Their towels are very small also which makes you need to use two. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I am absolutely disgusted in this place as well as the management who didn’t do anything about the complaints. DO NOT STAY...
Read moreTHIS PLACE DOESN'T DESERVE A SINGLE STAR!! Called a day in advance to add another day to my reservation. Asked if there was an age requirement for the hotel and was told that I couldn't stay here because you must be 21 when checking in. Okay, so I explain to them that I was not aware of this and that I have stayed there two times prior. The office attendant says that he will ask his manager if they can allow this exception to the rule and call me back. Wait over two hours with no phone call back and was told that the manager was informed of this problem but left and is no where to be found and not responding to phone calls. I let him know that I must go home because its reaching night fall and I have no place to stay. I asked to be phoned back immediately to confirm that I would not be charged. No phone call back. The first night I was SUPPOSED TO STAY THERE i get a phone call at 12 am in the middle of the night with no voice mail. Call them back and get told that a manager will be in touch. Then about a week after the "incident" I get charged for the first night that I DIDN'T STAY AT THE HOTEL. What kind of piece of crap establishment charges people when they refuse you service and then never bother to call you back and discuss the issue. No receipt, no phones call back, nothing.
After calling every other day and leaving messages with multiple people about the seriousness of my issue. About two weeks later I receive a phone call back from management. I explain the horrible situation that this hotel put me in and how upset I was about there service. The "management", I spoke to a woman named Reyna, paused for about a minute and then proceeded to tell me that "on my computer the room says that it was used." I tried telling this woman over and over that I hadn't even stepped foot into the hotel and that it was physically impossible for the room to be used. Of coarse she just kept telling me the same that, "the room was used," and that it says on the website that you must be 21. It obviously wasn't obvious enough or I wouldn't have made a reservation with them. It became ver
y apparent that this woman's job WAS NOT TO HELP AN CUSTOMERS THAT HAD HAD DISPUTES WITH THE HOTEL. HER SOLE PURPOSE WAS TO MAKE YOU FEEL SO HOPELESS AND GROSS ABOUT THE SITUATION THAT YOU TOOK THE LOSS. Not once did she take responsibility for the hotel staffs pathetic handling of the situation or even admit to any wrong doing on their part. Now luckily I have a very close family member that just so happens to be an attorney. My attorney contacted Reyna and discussed this issue but to no solution. Then Reyna proceeded to not answer or call back my attorney. A very threatening letter had to be sent to the hotel for them to FINALLY REFUND ME MY HARD EARNED MONEY. Its quite obvious that the owners and operators of this establishment are shady bad business owners and shouldn't be trusted with people's very private personal credit card information because they will try and take advantage of you if they see an opportunity and then proceed to tell you that somehow it is...
Read moreWe arrived at the hotel at 1:30 hoping to get into our room a little early after a four hour drive to Santa Cruz. We were surprised to see that there was a sign on the door saying the lobby was closed until 2:30. The sign also said that early check-ins would be charged a $15 fee. That was a new one for us... ||We went for a walk and returned at 2:50 to find that our room wasn't ready. We waited outside and finally got our key a little bit after 3:00. While checking in, I asked the clerk about the included breakfast and he said that it wasn't really breakfast, just pastries and fruit. The way he said it made it sound like it would be something like packaged muffins and a banana. I asked about the time and he said the food was put out at 10:00. Wow, most breakfasts are finished by then. I asked why it was so late and he said the lady who was responsible just showed up whenever she wanted.||The room (#116) was next to the (noisy) pool and smelled of chlorine and bleach. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were overly thick, lumpy ones - luckily for us we brought our own.||We tried to log in to the wifi, but we kept getting kicked out. I called the office a couple of times, but no one answered. I took the iPad to the office at 3:30 to get some help and there was a sign on the door saying the office was closed for 15 minutes. I went back at 3:45 to find the clerk eating a burrito that he had obviously gotten for a takeout meal. Now mind you, he started his shift at 2:30. Why he thought it would be a good idea to close up after being there an hour, I have no idea. Anyway, he said that all the hotels in that block share the same password so we should use one of the other hotel networks. Not exactly secure. We finally found one that worked, but it was slow.||There was no chair in the room or anywhere to sit other than the bed. The A/C was loud and annoying, but it was difficult to keep the window open due to the loud pool people. There were signs all over saying the pool closed at 9:00, but of course no one was there to enforce the policy. ||Later, we went out for the evening and when we came back, the hotel parking lot was completely full. We had to park on the street which had meters from 8:00 AM to 8:00PM. In the morning, we got up and put coins in so we wouldn't get a ticket. It all added to the annoyance of the whole experience.||The icing on the cake was when almost exactly two days later, I got a return call from the office. I couldn't pick up, but the voicemail message said that they saw I had called (about the wifi) and they were returning my call. Two....
