I called online for just a quick question and the one who answered was very rude. Out of all places that I called this place has given me the most attitude. 👎👎👎
Update: I went over to that place to get an apology because I genuinely felt insulted. I went there whole time being respectful not raising my voice to any of the customers or the employees. All I want was just a simple apology, and even when I talked through the phone I genuinely thought it was gonna be some 16 year old teenage boy. But I was surprised that it was an old guy with blue eyes so once I confronted him I told him " because of the call I felt very disrespected, I only came here for an apology, you just give it to me and I will be out of her." Until all of a sudden the old guy with gray hair and blue eyes starts to threaten me by calling the cops. And by this point I haven't raised my voice, didn't say any bad words, and I never threatened them. Even after, I told him. "Just give me my apology and I'll be out." He threatened me again with the cops even grabbing the phone. And as both working in the food industry and being a customer. Even if you have a bad day or your busy you are always supposed to be respectful towards the customers If someone has a complaint on something the first answer isn't to call the cops. It's to resolve the issue. If you're having a bad day, you should NEVER take those feelings towards the customer. (Even when I tried not to be one of THOSE ignorant people) It pains me to put such a harsh critique, on Google knowing that perhaps the owner and other workers put tooth and nail into that place. But I'm not just never coming back here to one of my regular places ever again. I genuinely want to see this place fail from what happened today. So if I could put negative stars I would put it in a heartbeat.
Update 2: the owner has contacted me saying that I was the one who was making the ruckus. I understand it's 1 word against the other. But the owner has told me that the person who called told me to call back. Which he has never. Once I asked the question the guy rudely told me "don't call again during lunch" and hung up one me. Once I got there I didn't tell anyone anything and decided to keep things between myself, I even let people behind me go after me so they wouldn't have to wait cause I was going to complain. When I asked for the manager they didn't want to call them. Not to mention I could tell the guy was talking to me towards his coworkers when the cashier knew who I already was (wasn't even part of it). Like I said before I never threatened or yelled at no one I just told them. "Because of the call I felt very disrespected. All I want is my apology and I'll leave I won't bother you." In whicheven if the word was empty I have not yet gotten my apology. Has the employee been held responsible? Probably not. Cause I have read all of the reviews (3 of them on the this same day complaining about the staff behavior) 1 of them even having my back on this circumstance. If this was really professionalism I would have gotten my apology and not have hesitated even with the owner. Even if they were busy they could have ask me to "ACTUALLY" call back or to wait and put me on hold. Like any other regular establishment. If the owner have given me the apology themselves. I would've considered taking down this post. But even now I can tell the type of people that work here. Even if it was empty I never gotten my apology. Very disappointing cause this is the FIRST time any restaurant has ever treated me like this. I am an understandable person if your busy I'm the type of person to wait so things slow down. But if your the type of person that takes negative feelings towards customers that shows what type of restaurant this is. But I'm grateful that I saw this side of...
Read moreAfter 5 visits to this restaurant, my experience has been horrible. On my first visit, I ordered at the counter, and I was told it would take about 20 minutes to receive my food. After 35 minutes, the owner came over and asked me what I had ordered, only to discover that my food had not yet started being prepared. 45 minutes after I initially ordered, I finally got my food. Not a good start and Very unprofessional. Same thing happened on my second visit, I was there for a takeout or waiting at least 35 to 40 minutes with people who came in behind me getting their food served to them first. Ridiculous! My third visit, I decided to call ahead so that my order would be ready when I arrived. My order was ready, but I said "no spicy" flavors in my food. Once I got home with my order, was so spicy, I couldn't even eat it. I took my order back, only to have the staff say they could refund my money, but they can give me another dish. Poor customer service. On my fourth visit, they took my order and said it would be about 20 minutes. After 35 minutes I noticed a box of food sitting on the counter and no one paying attention enough to check on whose order it was. I approached the counter and said, "Is that my order?" Of course, It was my order, just sitting there getting cold. The staffs confusion seemed to be a pattern. Today, I placed another phone order to try and have things ready once I arrived. When I entered their store, to the left there's a sign that says "order here". To the right there is a sign that says "pick up to go orders". Rather than allow me to go to the pick-up counter for my order, they instead were taking walk in orders under both signs! So my order set on the counter getting cold while I waited for other people to order their food who had not called ahead. My question is, "Why have a sign for to-go orders if you're going to use that counter space for taking new orders? Very rude!! You should at least train your staff to know the difference between which sign says what, since you are the one who put up the signs? I would like to continue to go to this restaurant, but there seems to be a pattern of unprofessionalism and staff confusion as to when orders are ready and which counter is for ordering or pick up. Other restaurants I have visited in the Santa Fe area don't have this problem, and they seem to get the orders right with a high level of professionalism. I don't know what the problem is with this restaurant, but they always seem confused. Unless you want to feel disrespected, I don't...
Read moreI placed an order for the quinoa salad and mango lassi to be delivered through Door Dash. The mango lassi was forgotten and when I contacted Annapurnas I was told that the lassi was left at the restaurant. The cashier informed me that even though the drink was forgotten from the order they could not redeliver or refund the order. The salad was also missing several ingredients, including the feta cheese. I was told to contact Door Dash and was not able to get the drink delivered or refunded but was "credited" for a service I no longer wish to use. I have been a long time customer of Annapurnas and am sad to say that such terrible service has discouraged me from wanting to go back to this restaurant. Not solely because a drink was missing from my order, but because the cashier made it apparent this was not his or the restaurants responsibility to make sure ordered items were picked up correctly by the delivery person.
I am editing my review because I wanted to give Annapurnas another chance after my previous experience as a customer. I actually used to work for this company about 8-9 years ago while going through nursing school which is when I first discovered a love of Ayurvedic food and lifestyle. Today, I ordered lunch with my husband and one year old son at 11:00 am to avoid a crowd and we were one of two customers at the restaurant at this time. At 11:40 I noticed that there were maybe 5 more customers that had come in after us, ordered after us, and received their food. I went up to the cashier to ask about our order. She said the ticket never printed and it would be another 15 minutes. I told her that unfortunately I could not wait that long and would like a refund. The two cashiers did not know how to refund my order and it took an additional 5 minutes to get my refund. I then asked to have my tip of 3 dollars back. The cashier very rudely slammed my money into my hand. I was never offered a genuine apology, drink, or anything that might have made me think I was valued as a customer. The cashiers were completely indifferent to the mistake and seemed as if they could care less. I am frustrated because I feel like I wasted almost an hour of my time (which is a long time with a one year old child). I write this because when I used to work at Annapurnas I remember it was part of my job to make sure that people who ordered their food received it. And if this didn't happen, we would try to make up for it. It seems that this basic component of decent service is no longer embedded in...
