They will try to upcharge you for any change without telling you... From getting fries with your burger, to changing to ranch dressing, even if you pay with a credit card they sneak in more charge without telling you. Lady on the phone didn't care at all. Santa Fe BITES.

Take your money to a place that cares about serving you rather than charging any little thing. No repeat business from me no matter how good your food is. Your philosophy and attitude are off.

Edit: also, they said they charge a fee for using a card rather than cash. That is ILLEGAL in New Mexico. I flat out asked her if it was a cash discount and she says no, it's a fee for the card. She had the nerve to tell me they don't make money on charging an additional $2.50 for fries with the burger. So I spent $40 on 2 cheeseburgers and fries.... The never of these people to treat customers like they are stupid. Lady at the counter and phone very condensing and rude about the entire situation.

Edit 2. 2 cheeseburgers for 40$. They can only give 1 mustard per burger? Large burger that's very dry, and only 1 mustard pack per burger. This place tries to charge for and little thing and apparently they think 1 mustard packette is enough for a 10oz. Cheeseburger. Neither of us could finish the burger due to how dry it was and not enough condiments to solve that. Will never go back. Also, fries were undercooked. Unreal how bad this place is.

Edit again in reply to her reply:

Angela, you did NOT mention any additional card charge or cash discount until AFTER I asked on the phone. That was after I said I'd pay with card and you asked me for the number. Then I said oh I'll just pay when I pick up as I don't have the card handy. I then semi jokingly asked if there was also an extra charge for using a card, since everything else has an upcharge. You said yes there is. That was AFTER YOU ALREASY TRIED TO TAKE MY CARD INFO!

You say you aren't trying to be rude or condescending, but your reply shows that's exactly what you are. I was right and you wouldn't even look at what I was trying to show you. You clearly irritated me in there with your know it all attitude, which ended up being wrong. You are a rude person Angela. Just because you don't like my questioning doesn't mean you can be that rude. I can't believe you are the owner and that's how you handled an upset customer trying to question your policy. Absolutely terrible...

I was excited to take my grandma here after her Dr's appt in Santa Fe. She had just found out she was cancer free so we wanted to celebrate with a meal. We used to eat here back when it was Bobcat Bite. It used to be good. Mind you, my grandma has a hard time walking and they take us to the furthest seat in the back when there were open seats in the front. That was the first thing I noticed. I ordered a steak med/rare, eggs over med, extra crispy hash with green chile. I ended up with a med/well steak, hard eggs, red chile and undercooked hash browns. Fine, I tried a bite to give it the benefit of the doubt, but it had no flavor. I politely said I didn't want the plate because all of it was wrong and the steak was cooked more than I wanted. This plate cost $26. If I'm paying that much money I want my food to be done right. Either way I asked they don't remake it because I knew I wouldn't like it, so why do that and waste more food? I wasn't upset, I was very nice about it. I was fine with just a drink. But they kept bugging me about it and I still declined. So, they send the lady out who I'm assuming is either the owner or manager, and she tells me, "next time you come in, order your steak rare because we cooked it perfect." I thought that was very rude of her. What makes her think I'd ever come back? She could have just asked if everything was ok and apologized for the mistake, but instead she takes her attitude and ruined our day. My grandma didn't even want to finish her meal because of the awkward tension she caused. Her plate wasn't good but she ate it. She said the eggs were over cooked, the salsa tasted nasty and the pico de gallo was old. The lady even went as far as to give us a dirty look as we were walking out, lol. Petty AF if you ask me. Screw this place. I tipped our waiter and the girl clearing the table and that was it. My friend and I were planning on going there, but that plan changed. He refuses to give money to an establishment that treats customers like that. Or to pay for mediocre food. I've heard that this place went down hill from several people. I should have listened....

The green chilly burger was as good as promised. I loved it.Though I wish it would have been a bit more spicy. We did get there at almost 5. Were asked if we wanted to eat at the bar. We declined and were seated at a table right away. It only took about 20 min to get our burgers. But by then my beer was gone. I had already asked for another, but repeated my request. I did ask a third time. We both finished our burgers, but I never did receive my second beer. The last few bites hung in my throat with nothing to wash it down with. 35 bucks gets you 2 burgers, one Corona, and one ice tea. Though I would suggest that you do sit at the bar to eat. . . . . . I'm amending my review after discussing our dinning experience just recently. . . . . As soon as our burgers were gone the table was cleared and wiped clean, other than the remaining ice tea. I mean in less than 60 seconds. The bill was left on the table, and my card was taken to pay the bill, after I reviewed it ASAP. I hope that I'm wrong, but in looking back, it almost seems like they were more interested in seating another party at our table instead of giving me a second beer, that I might have nursed until we both finished our drinks. Our server was not super busy, they seemed to have enough people to serve and clear tables. . . . . . By the time we finished, they had lots of people waiting to eat. I'm not saying that they were pushing us out the door, but it just seems odd that I never got that second beer. It was actually very irritating eating that whole burger with nothing to drink. I'm hoping that this was just a bad coincidence.

It Seems they have moved this place, it is no longer at the location that we visited. So things my be...

TLDR; good food, atmosphere, and service — good but not great Went on a Saturday morning and didn’t wait at all. Was greeted and sat promptly. 5 stars The atmosphere is nice and was reminiscent of an old diner. I like the multiple bars — one for alcohol and one for coffee with an open bakery kitchen next to it. 4 stars It had a large menu and I got the Green Chile Biscuits and Gravy (Fri/Sat only) and a Mocha and my friend got the Green Chile cheeseburger. Both dishes were good, but I’d argue as a NM native that green Chile doesn’t quite suit biscuits and gravy (probably a minority in this opinion). The eggs were cooked over medium (although I asked for easy) but still made well, the hashbrowns had a good crispness but the portion on them was small, and the gravy was decently thick and there was enough to satisfy each bite. The biscuits could have been fresher as the top of the biscuit was a bit stale, but overall I was satisfied. 3.5 stars The green Chile cheeseburger was okay, but rather plain. Hardly the best in the city I saw some reviews claim. The cheese and bun they used were great though — definitely the winners on the burger. The chile and patty were lacking something (it could just be the seasonal NM crop being unflavorful). I do like that the garnish was on the side versus in the burger, but that’s a personal preference. The chips seemed homemade but lacked seasoning. 4 stars The mocha was good, but it lacked chocolate. Mostly tasted like a plain cappuccino. They do roast in house which was a plus. 4 stars Prices were higher than the quality reflected, but they seemingly used quality ingredients — just wish execution on the dishes we had were done better. 4 Stars

The service, the food, the atmosphere was amazing. Walked in and to start Alexis greeted me with the friendliest mood boosting attitude i was not expecting. Absolutely uplifted my mood for the evening. I am currently visiting and she recommended that I try the posole, I was weary for I didn’t have the best experience with that dish out here. She insisted it is what I am expecting and that it would be delicious…. She was correct , the pistols was so flavorful and the hominy was cooked perfectly very tender and filling!!! I was also recommended by a friend to try their green chilies burger… holy amazing, so big, juicy, and very very tasty!!! Alexis was so kind to me a visitor to her city and state and provided other recommendations to try and went out of her way to make me feel like family honestly, this establishment is lucky to have her. Ashley was also fantastic, she was kind, courteous and efficient. She was so kind she even bagged my leftovers and dessert for me!!! So would recommend this place to everyone in or visiting Santa Fe, NM.

Flew here all the way from New Jersey for this burger! No, seriously, I’m in town for a conference but I wanted this to be the first burger I tried. It is the 10 ounce bacon green chili cheeseburger with onion rings on the side. Cooked to perfection, patty was just right in terms of seasoning and texture. Toppings were fresh and plentiful. Service was fast and fantastic, is everyone in New Mexico this friendly? Outdoor seating is fabulous, prices are reasonable, I will definitely eat here again! Plenty of parking on site too, but I was able to park in the nearby municipal lot and enjoy a walk around the downtown plaza area ... so many shops to explore. This is my first visit to Santa Fe, I’m definitely coming back! On the register receipt it said this was voted the number five best burger in the USA! Not sure by who, but there it is.
