Their card machine didn't work with tap pay or my 2nd card. I kindly asked them to reset their machines since i just got paid a know a 30 dollar isn't going to block my card. Instead the manager told me it's because I don't have enough money. Can you imagine the audacity? We went back and forth, with me saying I just bought things with the card a moment ago from the shops around, and it's fine/the machines need to be reset. Instead, he threatened me with police if I don't leave. I left and went to KFC and everything worked without a single problem. Literally just because I'm black and my card declined doesn't mean I'm broke. It was that attitude of total racism that has me never going to churches ever again. To think, this guy has no idea that I just got paid today, yet came at me like I'm just some broke guy trying to get a free meal. It was beyond disgusting and insulting, it was down right offensive af. Who looks at a customer once a card declines and says "you don't have enough, you need to go to the bank and get cash then come back" vs trying to solve what was clearly a handshake issue with technology. The possibility that technology fails NEVER crossed this guy's mind. He literally kept repeating we can't do anything for you over and over vs trying again. The girl that took my order was nice and I almost mistook this for a good place, but the older guy made sure i knew my business wasn't welcome at churches. I was literally a referral from a loved one in the area, because i always associated churches with bad areas and never tried it. They vouched for you. Needless to say after finding out how I was treated, you lost more than one customer. Btw, I'm a tiktoker and and youtuber with over 80k followers per account. I could have easily pulled rank, posted you & this place online, but I didn't. you're at a 3 star for a reason. People can ruin the best corporations. Any publicity is too good for you. So I won't gift you that. I will however be reporting this discrimination and telling everyone goodluck. This is what I get for trying a place that is known for being bad. Read moreMy uncle and I went to church's chicken my 1st time there, we showed up in the drive thru at 9:30, the gentleman speaking greets but does not say he has limited food but rather let's us order what's on the menu only to tell us they only have 2pc leg and thighs and a chicken sandwich, and some not all side are available so that took up a few extra minutes of our time. When we get to the window we ask if there closing time is at 10, why is there no food made or at least made to order. The gentleman says we're closing in 15 mins. We pay, the gentleman hands us our meal and we ask for BBQ sauce they had the audacity to charge us for the 2 sauces after nothing was available and we had to shift our food choices to something we really didn't want. We ask to speak to the manager she comes to the window and says we close in 10 mins we don't have food. We asked her if she can give us the condiments for with no charge since there we had to adjust the menu, she told my uncle in Spanish nothing in this world is free. Blew my mind even McDonald's gives 2 free sauces before charging. my uncle and I both used to be managers for Long John Silvers. And we're taught as long as you are with in-store hours cook the food even if there Is a little wait, we would've been fired, or loss of management status, I for sure will not be visiting that store again The chicken sandwich looked like it was smashed and the Mac n cheese...
Read moreI don't normally write reviews but I'm frustrated by the service I received. I understand that it must be difficult to work during our current pandemic but I don't think standards should be thrown out the window. I ask for better communication. That is all.
I ordered through the drive through window and asked for a 16 piece, half spicy, half original , dark legs and thighs. I ordered a 4pc spicy chicken tenders. I was told that I would have to wait 12 minutes in the parking lot. I was fine with that.
12 minutes went by and I didn't hear anything. I waiting for 20 minutes then gave the location a call. They said I would have to wait an extra 4 minutes. They also tried repeating my order to me and got it wrong. I had to correct them.
They never came out when they said they would. I waited another 10-12 minutes and went inside. I was trying to avoid doing this to coincide social distancing guidelines. I got my order and left.
I live about 20 minutes from this location. When I got home I realized they did not get my order right. I got a box full of chicken tenders, not a single leg or thigh. I was also missing a lemon pie I ordered. I am very frustrated and disappointed. I don't want to have to drive 20 minutes back to get this fixed.
