We came to Kakawa chocolate as a party of 5 at 11:00 AM on Monday. We were helped by Jen and Raoul, who gave us excellent recommendations of drinking chocolates to take home. We enjoyed a flight of their drinking chocolates that they had available that day. My favorite of their drinking chocolates is their Chili chocolate, but I have fallen in love with their Mayan full spice chocolate and their Golden Chocolate as well. I enjoyed getting the flight and comparing them against each other. There are so many different types of drinking chocolate that they have that I will have to try next time. Extra shout out to their amazing whipped cream!!!! We had a blast here- Jen and Raoul were wonderful and we appreciate that they ship their drinking chocolates and truffles. While they are far better to come in person too, it is nice to know that we can enjoy one of our favorite parts of Santa Fe from anywhere in the world.

What really impressed me about every location oh Kakawa are the employees. At every location, every time we go in, they are helpful, happy and engaged. We love the Horchata mix with the berry sorbet. Ask them and they’ll suggest it. It was fantastic. My favorite hot chocolates were the American and the special turmeric chocolate they had one day. They have a ton of gluten-free and a lot of dairy free as well .

Great place for cacao - whether ceremonial or for fun! Jamie is an excellent, friendly and hospitable barista! Jennifer is super knowledgeable on the different varieties and uses of the cacao for ceremony and everything in between. She helped me source larger quantities for some events I've planned as well. Really grateful for this spot and can't wait to visit again!

This place was fantastic! First of all, the chocolate is amazing; it's the best in Santa Fe, and Santa Fe is spoiled for choice with fantastic chocolate. Secondly, the service was really great! Cheyenne (I think this is how you spell her name, spelling is not my strong suit), went above and beyond to ensure I got what I needed in terms of a gift. She then went even further to explain to me the process to get the gift to where it needs to be. All in all, if you are looking for great chocolate and service that goes out of their way to really ensure you are taken care of, go to Kakawa on San Mateo and ask...

We were interested in some hot chocolate, and so showed up in the afternoon, hoping for a relaxing visit. We were welcomed thoroughly and given a free sample, in order to better make our choices, and ended up with a flight of four hot chocolate flavors. Fantastic! Plus the brownies and chocolate truffles that are made there — all were interesting flavors and taste combinations. A relaxing and excellent afternoon! The manager was very helpful in pointing out dairy-free and providing alternatives for our allergies. Just a perfect...
