5 Stars – A Hidden Gem: Parque1055 in Santa Paula! What a wonderful surprise we had this past Mother’s Day! A dear friend invited us on a field trip with her son and another friend, and she took us to the charming town of Santa Paula. If you’re coming from Santa Clarita, Ventura, or anywhere nearby, the drive is peaceful and scenic — the perfect start to the day. She brought us to a beautiful new restaurant called Parque1055, located right on Main Street (1055 E Main St, Santa Paula). From the moment we walked in, we felt the warmth of the space. It’s welcoming, stylish, and full of heart. Our server, Alexa, was as sweet and attentive as can be. And then came an amazing surprise — the owner, Bob Dawson, personally came to our table to introduce himself. He shared the inspiring story of how Parque1055 came to life, and even brought our drinks himself. It’s rare these days to find an owner so involved and genuine. We also met Heather, the marketing and events coordinator, who was just as friendly and made us feel truly valued. As for the food? Absolutely outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor — we were genuinely wowed. We left full, happy, and already planning our return. Parque1055 isn’t just a restaurant — it’s an experience. If you’re looking for delicious food, warm hospitality, and a peaceful drive, do yourself a favor and visit this magical Place. Matthew Productions

Excellent service (Dawn is an absolute pro!) great food and nice ambiance. I had The ATM salad with seared salmon, which was so fresh and tasty. But the star of my meal was the French fries (w/parmesean, parsley and garlic aoli 😋😋). I consider myself a connoisseur of my beloved papas fritas, so I do know what I am talking about. LOL!! I swear I'd drive that distance just to get them again! 🤩😅 Their housemade sangria quenched my thirst, but it didn't blow me away. All in all, it was another spot that I could add to my list of restaurants to revisit.

We checked out happy hour a few days ago (forgot to take photos) and that was pretty good! We loved the pickled veggies. Today we went for brunch, such a great experience. Sat outside on the beautiful patio and were given the option of an umbrella but we opted for sun. GORGEOUS patio setting! I had the California Benedict with lox and would get that again. The spicy Bloody Mary was decent too.

Just to ease into the review of this place, let me first start out by mentioning the food was tasty and the KITCHEN staff and HOSTESS on MONDAY, August 18th was the most helpful! That's...pretty much it.

Now, let's dive in. It's a doozy. We wanted to stay close to home to spend our 16yr anniversary, let's go eat at Parque 1055. We brought along our young daughter to celebrate with us. We walked in during dinner-time on a Monday night, it didn't look crowded at all, about 3 tables of families inside (a table of 2 or 3, another table of 2, another table with maybe 6-8 people). We got sat down pretty quickly. We waited about...15-20 minutes. No server. Weird. Waited another few minutes, staring off into space and the cute plants they have on the walls.

Okay, getting pretty hangry here. Still no server. Eventually, my boyfriend had to walk to the front and ask the Hostess, who our server is. She pointed out the one server that is chatting it up with the other family. Okay, cool. He's spending time explaining the menu. Still waiting...it's been awhile. No greeting or acknowledgement of the booth that's by it's lonesome self. Did I mention we didn't get any water/drinks either? Hostess stops by, shocked he still hasn't taken our order.

She takes it upon herself to take our drink and food order and apologizes for the server (girl, you definitely did not have to do that!). You guys, the server STILL hasn't stopped by our table to even check in. Still chatting it up with the ladies at one of the other tables. Food comes out. The HOSTESS and kitchen staff brought out our food. NOT our server, he didn't even help them.

My fish was great. The steak was alright. The cheeseburger was great.

Oh whaaat, our server FINALLY comes by and asks if we need anything taken away. But, no apologies, not checking to see if we're doing good...just if he needs to take...dishes...out of our way. A bit later, the hostess comes by and actually checks in to see how we're doing and if we needed anything, if the food was tasting alright.

It was supposed to be a small celebration but it wasn't an enjoyable experience one bit. I gotta say for a newer fancy restaurant in SP, the service was absolutely horrendous on a MONDAY night. I don't know, that's pretty embarrassing.

Overall, Parque 1055, your food and ambience sorta made up for the lack of service that evening. Shout out to the hostess that night, I didn't catch your name but bless your heart!! I can tell she was uncomfortable about the situation but she did wonderful taking the initiative to help us out. Thank you for making the rest of the evening tolerable! I was so bummed. I wanted...

Came for the first time on Valentines day with a set menu. Choice of 3 or 4 courses. My wife and I opted for the 3 course. 1st Course I had the cauliflower soup and it was excellent 10/10. My wife had the wedge salad also a 10/10 from her. 2nd Course we both had NY Steak strip with chimmichurri and potatoes. I ordered medium and got a medium-rare and my wife ordered medium-well and got a medium. Nice presentation of the food but the potatoes were dry and were mixed with a arugula type salad with dressing. The steak also needed much more chimmichurri than what was given. And the potatoes needed more of the dressing it came with. My wifes steak was about 25% fat. Also had to ask for new silverware as ours was taken away from 1st course and had to wait a little to be able to eat the 2nd course. Wife score 3/10 and mine 4/10 3rd course I ordered the orange citrus tart and my wife ordered the chocolate cake with ice cream. Waiter came back and apologized that All DESSERTS were sold out except the chocolate cake and ice cream. I had no choice but to take that but the night was extremely young not even passed 7:30pm. Dessert came ice cream already melted and no silverware again. We didn't even have to mention that the ice cream was melted to the server, he said they would be bringing us more, but at that point you can take the plate back and redo it. My wife loved the chocolate cake and ice cream 8/10 and myself I didn't it reminded me of an attempt of a flourless chocolate cake but imo was extremely dry and I can only finish half of it, the ice cream was good. 4/10 from myself. All scores added =65% D grade. Now the bill being $140.00 for the both of us I expected to be more satisfied than what we were. If someone is paying this much they shouldn't have to ask for their drinks to be refilled. The atmosphere was cool we were seated at a high top table near the bar, but when we made reservations my wife requested standard seating. There was another room with standard seating away from the bar which looked more elegant and quiet which I wish that's where we were seated because the bar area is quite loud. I know this place is new and it was jam packed for Valentines day, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt that they are still a work in progress. I will be back in time and will try the regular menu...
