WO WO WOW!!!! CAME HERE WITH FAMILY FOR LUNCH. THE VENUE WAS TASTEFULLY DECORATED, STAFF WERE NICE, OUR SERVER “JUNIOR” WAS SUPER NICE AND ACCOMMODATING AND RESPONSIVE. FOOD WAS AUTHENTIC (AS FAR AS I CAN TELL), TASTED SO DELICIOUS AND PORTIONS WERE LARGE! EVERYTHING SERVED AS DESCRIBED, ORDERED A LOT OF FOOD, SO IT TOOK AROUND 15 MINS TO BE ON OUR TABLE AND THE WAITER BROUGHT US 3 COURSE OF SALSA AND CHIPS. THE BILL CAME $48 AND WE WERE SO SHOCKED FOR THE PERFECTION WE WERE SERVED!! TOTALLY RECOMMENDED. SORRY FOR NOT PROVIDING PHOTOS, THE FOOD WAS SO DELICIOUS COULDN’T TAKE BREAKE FOR PHOTOS. UPDATE: PHOTOS ARE FROM MY SECOND VISIT IN JULY 2019.

I drive by this place often and finally had the chance to stop in. So glad that I did! I just ate myself into a food coma and am bringing home enough leftovers to overeat again for dinner! I had a cup of soup called Pazole, and a chimichanga. The soup was experimental for me as I had never had it before. I would order that soup in the mega bowl as a complete meal, excellent. The flavors are perfection. Salsa and chips are refilled even after your meal comes. Service was quick and very friendly despite being a decent sized lunch crowd in the place.

Very good food, the Chapala fajitas were excellent, well cooked chicken and steak, and the shrimp were tasty - both of them. The house margarita and the chill atmosphere were perfect. But the server was rushed and made me nervous just watching him and we didn't dare ask a question and slow down our order. One server is not enough for 20+ tables. Unfortunately no outside seating but inside is fairly spacious and elegant.

I've given this restaurant 3 chances cause I believe in 2nd and 3rd chances, but I'm done with this restaurant. 1st time I was there we waited about 40 minutes then my food arrived dry and cold like it was sitting there and mind you there was only a handful of customers. 2nd time my hard shell taco was not hard shell, but slighty toasted so I sent it back and received it back so oily as if they took everything out of the tortilla and tried to refry it doing a horrible job at it, cause when I received it not only did they put the original insides back in it, but the bottom of my plate was covered in oil and the shell was still barely even hard again. I told them I didn't want my food and to credit my bill reluctantly they did, but not before they asked me 6x two times from my waitress twice from another waiter and even the manager asked twice if I was sure I didn't want them to remake it. I finally told the manager Meriam my concern and how I felt about how they remade my taco and all she said was ok and walked away. So here I am a 3rd time and this time I place a phone order and I asked if they had posole before I continued to place my order I was assured there was plenty left so I continued to place my order and I was told it would be ready in 15-20 so when I arrived 25 minutes later I was told it wasn't ready and it would be ready shortly so she took my payment and as I waited another 20 minutes I was told there was no more posole and if I wanted menudo instead I informed her no and the whole purpose of my call was to make sure they had what I wanted so I wouldn't have to make the drive for nothing, but clearly that wasn't the case! Again I spoke to Meriam the manager and she had the same dry persona she had the 1st time. As the saying goes 3rd times a charm well not in this case they failed all 3 times I've given them a chance. So clearly I will never give this so called restaurant...

Ordered Azteca steak and pork with Nopales. The portion of pork was so small (barely any meat in a very small rib), with only 5 pieces of this skimpy portion. The steak was almost $20.00 an it was small and very thin. We ordered medium and it came back overly well done. When we inquired over the skimpiness of the meats, we were told by the waitress that they had "orders" from above to cut down the portions considerably. She further told us that the cook had orders from management to only provide 5 pieces of pork mini-ribs (extremely small). And on top of everything their prices have gone up ridiculously! This is a very short-sighted way of doing business as many people won't come back! The service was extremely slow and we had to ask for water several times. We understand that there is a pandemic going on that is affecting businesses, but there are other places that are not cutting portions and cranking up the prices like this place. Also, their customer service was not good. We have been customers for years but it is time to find another Mexican restaurant. We decided not to come back as we felt ripped-off. Lack of business...

Worst experience. Food was full of fat and lard just oozing from it. I was a regular at Familia Diaz then it became Chapala. Well I went in to show support. BIG MISTAKE! My waitress had the biggest hickie on her neck I had to explain to my toddler it was a bruise. Food was bland and the meat looked like leather. I ordered a cocktail and when the bill came they incorrectly charged for items. YES! The prices did not match the menu!!! When I questioned the waitress she said."well it was more but the manager changed it". What!!!! So I asked to talk to the manager. She comes over and looks like a very young lady and tells me that's the price. I ask for the manager, who is the managers Mother Lourdes , I complain and she says.." when I go to a restraunt I make sure I have enough money". This place is a disgrace ...and Lourdes needs to understand she and her success depends on...
