I was going to Andy’s donuts and bagels nearly every day for weeks to pick up something for my boyfriend. He liked the donuts, and I like supporting family businesses. But one day the owner gave me a dirty look when I asked that he put the chocolate donut in a separate bag from the jalapeño cheese bagel. I let it slide since it’s 5am and everyone has bad mornings. But it happened again when I got myself a coffee and double cupped it. I asked if there was a problem and he said “it costs me extra.” So I put the cup back and didn’t return for a few days. I came back and again got a look for asking for pastries to be separated and I mentioned that he had been rude to me and that’s why I hadn’t been in the last few days, and continued that I come in daily and never take napkins, don’t put cream or sugar in my coffee. He told me “I have to pay for the cups.” I replied that losing a customer seemed more expensive than one cup. He laughed at me and repeated. “The company doesn’t give me the cups for free.” So, if you don’t care about customer service, I do recommend it. And everyone except for the father is friendly. I regret that I can no longer be a patron.
update I posted this review over four months ago and just received this private message from the owner.
"Wow! I'm so sorry that you were so upset that you literally find our yelp page and wrote an essay about it. Sounds kinda pathetic. Our family each work around 12 hrs a day to keep this place running for the public, so we're sorry for being human and having some moody days. I'm so glad we won't be seeing you again. Have a...
Read moreBeen going to Andy's for years back when Andy own it. Since the new owners the customer service has decline fast. My last visit I personally delt with Danit who I thought was the owner with his wife. I felt me and my kids were a burden to him. So rude and didn't care much if we were there or not. I ask if he could warm my croissant a little more. And it seemed to bother him. I ask if I could get it cut a few ways and that to seem to be a bother to him. When I asked if I could get a few glasses for our milk and he flat out ignore me. Rudeness like this will not be ignored . I may be one customer but know many people in our community and work with a very large company. Hopefully word of mouth and some bad reviews will change his...
Read moreThe service was ridiculously bad. Took them forever to even say hello while I stood at the counter for a long time with nobody there. I should qualify that by saying that there were two workers that I could see and nobody in front of me and one person at a table that looked like they work there. Not even a hello for about 5 minutes Worse than the service was that the donuts were just not good. That's the nicest way I could put it. It was like they didn't put any sugar in the dough and all of their frostings were thin and as close to flavorless as...
