Sandwiches are good, but absolutely do not order online. Every time I’ve used their online system, there’s an issue. First time, they didn’t even announce in the store (as they do for in-store orders) that it was ready and despite being right next to the cashier (it’s tight inside), I ended up waiting until I got the text notification it was ready, which meant my sandwich sat for ~10 minutes and even then I still had to specifically interrupt the staff to be acknowledged. I assumed, fine, probably a me issue. Second time, I decided to wait outside and pick up randoms at Safeway until I got my notification and then walk in. Got notification, walked in, and they hadn’t even made the sandwich.

So, being annoyed that this game wasn’t working, I told a staff person I was frustrated with the notifications. She mentioned it to the shift manager or lead or whoever it gets passed on to, and I heard her tell the staff to tell me (this place is ~100 sq ft, it’s not like I couldn’t hear her) that they “don’t control the notification system online,” which, I get the staff don’t, but that’s absolutely something the owners/management would have some influence on. And if they don’t, then they got swindled.

Overall, staff have been nice (save the spicy shift lead), and the sandwiches are good, but don’t order online, absolutely not worth it, it won’t make the process any faster or smoother. I want to give a better score but the experience of being a customer is just annoying. If you got time to waste, or a reason to be in the shopping mall, it’s not a bad choice, just don’t order if you’re in any kind of hurry or want to time your visit.

Edit: I realize this reads a bit more whiney than I feel I’m trying to convey. I ordered online at 1pm and was told 1:18 pick up (very reasonable), got notified at 1:20 it was ready (still normal), walked inside at 1:25 cause Safeway checkout got bogged down (that’s on me), and waited 3 mins to be told they hadn’t even made it, and walked out at 1:40 with a sandwich the cashier first tried to hand to another customer (?). Just seems like 40 minutes is a bit longer than I’d expect, I’ve gotten much faster service ordering in person with 3x as many customers in the store. So, again, food good enough to eat, online terrible experience and not worth it.

Edit 2: Aaaaaaaaaaaaand they got my order wrong. Maybe it really was the other dudes sandwich (odds of two guys named James ordering a Da Vinci at the same place at same time? Probably low). I need a facepalm gif here. If I didn’t have to drive back 15 mins to return it and get it correctly, I might actually do it, but I’m hungry and it’s ~75% of what I ordered, so I’m gonna...

Insanely tasty!! They have a nice drink selection. Found butterscotch root beer to drink with my sandwich, and it was delicious :)
