The food was excellent here. They start with a complimentary serving of bread and minced olive spread. There is not a split dish fee. We enjoyed the calamari salad with baby octopus in a well-balanced vinegarette. Then, a classic Ceasar salad. And then, the seafood risotto with large chunks of lobster in a creamy garlic sauce - deliciously paired with the Mackey Cellars cab Sauv from Sonoma vineyards. We also tried a side of the bolognese sauce, and it tasted like grandma's recipe when she added ground lamb. This meal touched on all the elements of taste on the taste buds. Chef understands how to marry balanced flavors. We sat outside on the patio. The decor did not match the delicious Italian food. Instead, the decor was African. I am unsure what the thought process was here other than the owner enjoying Africa. As for us, we would have enjoyed the full Italian experience

Wow! My partner and I came and had dinner at 8:30 on Father's Day and had the best time! We are in our 20s and are not parents, but it was our weekend. The staff was incredibly kind, helpful, and genuine. You can tell it was a family restaurant, which is typical for Italian restaurants, but it was on a whole other level. Every staff member we had interactions with was so welcoming and warm. The owner was an absolute sweet heart. The food and atmosphere was amazing. We had the absolute best time after a very long Father's Day at work. It was a wonderful way to relax after working such a crazy service, and we truly felt welcomed! If I could give a higher review than 5 stars, I absolutely would. I had a delicious salad and the polenta, as I wasn't very hungry, but the polenta was absolutely amazing. I only took a picture of the polenta, but as ypu can see it was gorgeous.

The food we had was awesome. The service we received was less than spectacular. The lamb shank and lamb ravioli were great. The waitress ran over to our table and in a rush said, "the specials are on the board". She pointed to a board on the wall across from us and RAN off without saying anything more. She came back and said, "Hi. What do you want?" She didn't even make eye contact with us. She took my wife's order then looked over her shoulder and said to me, "what do you want?" I placed my order and she rushed off without saying anything. She didn't refill our water or wine during our meal. To me, food is only half of the equation. Good service makes a great experience.

I've been here before, my boyfriend had not. I called ahead and spoke to a woman whom I made a reservation with for 6pm on Sunday. We were driving back from the city, and hit traffic. So, I called a second time to let them know. The gentlemen on the phone told me they would take care of us whenever we were able to make it there. As it turned out, we were on time, 5 minutes early for our 6pm reservations. The asian woman waitress who greeted us was totally offensive and downright rude. She was the same person who had taken my reservation only an hour before. She didn't remember my calling, or have my reservation written down. My boyfriend seldom gets angry with people, but this woman was terrible, and he was ready to leave. The gentlemen who had assured me over the phone came up to us and took us to a table immediately. Thank goodness, this woman was not our waitress. But, I did watch her proceed to offend and be rude to more and more guests as they arrived for dinner. I have no idea why she was hired, or why she is kept on staff. We won't come back as long as she works there! Just terrible with people! Luckily, our server was a nice young man who was attentive and very good. I had the fettuccini bolognese. It was terrific!! Bf had the Spaghetti Pescatora. It was much too fishy, I would not get it again. Get rid of the rude, offensive woman, and we will be back. Guarantee we are not the only people she turned-off that night. Get rid...

Hello, my husband and I have been going to the Riviera for many years. We have celebrated almost every bday, Aniversary and special occasion enjoying this wonderful restaurant. We often treat ourselves to date nights as well. Service and food have always been 5 stars over the years. However, for the last year or so we have struggled with the strong odor of cleaning products inside and also in the outside dining area. The strong smell of fabulosa gives me a headache and effects the way we taste the food that usually is very delicious. We haven’t visited as often because of the odor. This evening we wanted to try again and chose outside dining. The first thing we smelled when walking up to the door was fabulosa instead of the aroma of delicious Italian food. The table that we were seated at outside must have been cleaned with fabulosa. The food was good but difficult to enjoy with the smell of this cleaner in the background. We are begging you to please understand that such a strong smelling cleaning agent shouldn’t be used in a place we’re food is served. It distracts from the experience and distracts from the flavor of the food. Not to mention, it is usually a $200 meal plus tip when my husband and I join you for a meal. Please use fragrance free cleaning products. We have clients that have mentioned the same issue. It is not only my husband and I who are concerned about this. We want to be able to continue to frequent your...

Cute little Italian place off the beaten path of Santa Rosa. The decor is slightly "cycling themed" with framed cycling jerseys on the walls but otherwise this feels like small town Italian spot. The ambiance is casual and friendly with efficient service.

We were started with a bread basket that had two types of bread, some kind of focaccia and then a regular roll type. The bread was fresh and nicely complimented with herbs on top, but I wish it had been served warm, and with fresh butter instead of the foil-wrapped packages. We had a bottle of wine, a chianti which was pleasant and cozy.

We ordered the fried calamari, which was fine, nothing special. I had a special for my main, a stuffed quail with sausage and veggies over mushroom ravioli with mushroom sauce. The dish was extravagant and delicious. Absolutely perfect. The quail was tender and juicy, served atop two large, freshly made ravioli. Super rich, buttery, and earthy. I could have eaten the raviolis and mushroom sauce for days.

Mom had the scallop and shrimp, and said the scallops were perfectly cooked. Dad had a special of pasta with lobster, in which the lobster itself was perfect, though he didn't have much to say about the rest of the dish. The food was served very fast, though not at the detriment of the quality.

Definitely worth stopping in if you're going by, though maybe not a place to go out of your way for. Friendly...
