This business may subject you to profiling, a violation of the 14th amendment. Upon buying liquor with my significant other, we were both asked to use our ID's - something unheard or seen in any liquor store I've been to in any state. Upon further inquiry to see the manager, I was left to wait for 7 minutes while she (the manager) walked past me two separate times. She only stopped to talk to me after grabbing the employee that checked me out. A fruitless endeavor, as store policy has nothing to do with a grocer. Upon telling the manager the grocer was unneeded, I was met with bad faith and accusations. Upon asking about section 8 of California game license, the manager committed perjury and said that profiling based on age group is perfectly acceptable under store policy. How silly. The manager, Cici, is undeserving of this position, and was rather argumentative. Upon asking why, I was then promptly banned from buying alcohol in the store. Particularly amusing, because I've never actually bought liquor there. I've been banned from buying something I wouldn't buy to begin with! After deciding to leave the store, Cici the manager followed suit, proceeding to harass me until I was out the door. I am considering pursuing...
Read moreI have visited the store many times but I noticed that cashiers didn't have proper training on how to deal with the customers especially African American cashier that I approached today. He was absolutely disrespectful and rude and overcharged me. I kept the receipts and talked to the manager. Unfortunately she was not able to solve the problem and I left the store. If you are a regular shopper, make sure you check your receipts and check the prices thoroughly. Another problem at store is the lack of restrooms that are always a posted sign indicating they are cleaning the restroom and they refuse to allow shoppers to have access to the restroom unless you beg one of the staff to open it for you. For those that use the EBT card make sure you mention the card to the cashier to avoid being over charged 15 cents for plastic bag. Ask for a paper bag that is free of charge for EBT users. I contacted the consumer protection unit At Sacramento and filed the complaint against the store for being over charged. I also noticed that the parking lot area was not clean and trash was all over the parking lot. I strongly suggest the management pay attention to the training of staff and sanitizing and cleaning the...
Read moreJust spent well over an hour collecting a full cart of items worth over $100, then had a bit of an emergency and Needed to use a restroom -- but of course they weren't allowing customers to use theirs currently. I asked where the nearest bathroom was & was told Maybe the gas station down the street, but had no high hopes for that, either. I sat in the parking lot for a few minutes & debated with myself, then called the manager on the phone & told him my situation. He took his time telling me he THOUGHT they were putting all that stuff back; when I asked him to please stop them from putting anything ELSE back, he was reluctant and extremely slow to do so, finally coming back to tell me Yes it's mostly all put away already, to which I asked So what hindered you from stopping them at That Point?? He said there were only 5-6 items left, and I was like, Yes, so what kept you from asking them to Stop There?? and instead of a reply, he hung up on me, acting like he couldn't hear me. Definitely NOT going there again until AFTER I spend money at the OTHER grocery stores I still need to go to, now, as a direct result of the incredibly LOW QUALITY of customer service...
