Deli Belly — Restaurant in Santee

This shop is a new addition to Santee (2022) located near Vons and should not be confused with the location that closed down near Petco.

A great addition to Santee and delicious place for sandwiches. The staff is SO FRIENDLY! The shop was clean and well kept inside. There are a handful of tables inside where you can sit and enjoy your meal, or you can take it to go. There is a restroom available for customers.

The menu provides a large variety of options to pick from, or you can build your own sandwich. The portions sizes are large and filling. They put a hearty portion of quality meat on the sandwiches. The bread was fresh and soft. The vegetables on the sandwich were fresh and crisp.

There is good selection of chips and drinks to complete your meal. Macaroni salad and potato salad are also offered as a side dish.

I ordered the Reuben sandwich with sauerkraut. It was very underwhelming, like a prepackaged sandwich from an airport kiosk. The guy working the counter was nice enough, don't know if he made the sandwich or not. My girlfriend got a honey turkey sandwich and enjoyed it. We also ordered the triple chocolate cake. The frosting was good but the cake dry or stale. Hopefully it was just old but that doesn't help me. It was so bad we ended up throwing it away. If I order from here again, definitely won't order the Reuben. Jensen's Reuben...

Nice nearby deli sandwich spot. This place was highly recommended by our friend Shirley.

My husband and I dined in and enjoyed turkey club sandwiches and Oreo cheesecake. Super fast service and they're friendly.

Nothing like the first bite of a fresh crunchy deli sandwich. We ate half since they're huge and delicious and finished the other half for dinner. They're delicious I told my husband we're going back next weekend!
