Went in today 8/20/2025 between 10 and 1020, cashier is a jerk and I will be filing an official complaint with the Better Business Bureau. You can tell the employees themselves are here hearting the bad reviews. My friend and I went in for breakfast. The cashier looked at my African American friend as if he was contagious. I ordered a #3, sub the bread for McMuffin bread. She argued about it and enters #1, ADD folded egg. Then when my friend went to order he asks for the Big Breakfast with Hot Cakes and she told him “we don’t have that”. While we are staring at it on the menu board above her. So we had to argue about that. Then my friend pays and because she has already been glaring at him she hands me the receipt when he was the one paying. She doesn’t look at black people. She then grabs her phone and goes to the back and tells the people cooking, something. I tell my friend to give me his receipt and realize this cashier jerk has still put in a #1 instead of a #3 and up charged almost 3 dollars. I ask for the manager, who also says it’s the same thing. “No it’s not. You don’t charge for subbing bread and if you’re “adding” an egg I should be getting 2 eggs. I only got one.” “You don’t get to enter the order however you want to, it’s how I want my order. On top of that you lied and told my friend you don’t have what he wanted. And won’t look at him but then astonished when I started speaking Spanish.” The manager then asks me for the card because SHE also doesn’t look at black people. And she refunded the up charge. The whole time I’m speaking Spanish though because the first cashier was playing games so I needed her to make sure I’m not playing with her. Both cashier and store manager are racist. Spanish people are racist too against their own race. They discriminate on black people and black Latin people. These women here are a prime example of that. They are discriminatory. They need to be fired. It’s obvious this goes on for a long time from the other reviews. Im contacting The Better Business Bureau. Came for dine in. Ended with being discriminated on and leaving. I will be back though. There’s no way racists will win. And if they need to be recorded, end up on social media, and be shut down, then let’s do it. Read moreI have found a new place for morning coffee. In Sarasota a lot of them don't speak English at the drive-thru. I have no idea why they do certain things it doesn't make any sense to me. I am told a particular family owns the majority of the McDonald's around here and they are not following the equal opportunity laws. They are running McDonald's into the ground and it's sad because I grew up on McDonald's it was my era through my entire childhood and now it's a battleground a nightmare they barely get the order right and then when you're nice and you try to show them to correct they start attacking you personally. They are aggressive. I literally am scared to go to a McDonald's in Sarasota. The small percentage of white people that still get to be employed there one of them was telling me that they are almost bankrupt. I wonder why they can't manage the stores properly? As a franchise they are losing that beautiful brand name it's now become something else. It is sad because it was once a friendly place a getaway a treat. Now it's just a bother a hassle not even worth it. I called corporate to escalate my many incidents there and guess what their system is? The protocol is it goes back to the franchise owner to call you and make good but they are the ones that are the problem so they never contact you and offer you an apology or a comp. They just take your money and you have to take the attitude. Their whole thing is wrong. Thank God there's other burger and fry places frankly I prefer a smoky flame broiled real thick meaty Whopper. McDonald's is trash compared to most places. They are so cheap now in Sarasota they sealed up the electric plug ins so that you can't charge your phone to be online during your lunch break. It's sad. That is an honest opinion of honest events. I carried in my tablet to take my time to express to the manager what happened when I went through the drive-thru and the woman started personally verbally slanderous loud in front of everybody in the restaurant saying bizarre stuff that wasn't true towards me it was bad. Read moreNormally, I don’t write reviews but I’ve been going to this McDonald’s for a little bit now because it’s two minutes away from me the last time that I had went, I got a caramel iced coffee, medium and a mocha iced coffee medium as well. The mocha iced coffee was more than caramel and the only difference was that it had whip cream and fudge, and I get that except for the fact they put it in a a small cup, but charge me for a medium and I said something about it and they just said some thing about the machine which is fine but I just bought a medium coffee and y’all just gave me a small it doesn’t make sense and then it be more than the actual medium at that point I wonder what they would have put an actual small mocha coffee in then I go again this morning I ordered a large strawberry banana smoothie, and I get a good inch of it out of my cup which when I’m ordering a large strawberry banana smoothie and I’m paying for it, I expected it to be full(keep in mind it always is until today)to the top and when I say some thing about it, she said there’s a fill line and that’s fine but then I’m getting a medium, not an actual large, but y’all are charging me for large that doesn’t make sense and then give me the large cup with a lot of the drink missing just say you can’t do large smoothies it just bothered me to get a good inch not in my cup!
