Update 9/5/24.... another great experience at Mama G's. Shared our favorite hidden gem with some friends today and it's becoming more and more obvious that the gem is no longer hidden. We've been going for several years and I literally leave happy every time. Got another giant pretzel too. Thank you Mama G's!!!!! Mama G's is straight LEGIT!!! Unbelievably affordable a pastry for everyone, beverages (my wife had a macchiato and all the boys had juices), some fresh fruit and a crazy good multi- grain rye loaf of bread for around $30. If you want the giant pretzel there is a 2 day lead time. I ordered one for this fridays family boat trip and I can't wait!!! I'll post a pic of the pretzel after I get it. Hoping that they have some good Bavarian mustard to go with it. Definitely a hidden gem!! AND if you didn't get it...... EVERYTHING is fresh!!! Edit: pretzel photo added. The pretzel was amazing!!! Mama gave us an mustard to go with it! After the boat trip we had sone pretzel left over and I used it to make a sandwich. Yes it's thick enough to make a sandwich, just slice off a chunk and cut it in half..........

Contrary to another patrons experience/ review below, we were overjoyed to see that Mama G’s displayed their faith by playing Christian music, having a daily devotional next to the register that we would read everyday while waiting for our breakfast, and even donate their tips to help those in need. We were in Sarasota on vacation so we were away from our typical routine, church, community etc. and coming for breakfast everyday brought a sense of home and familiarity to us. It was truly the best way to start our day and set the tone for great days ahead! The coffee and baked goods were so good, we had to come everyday while on vacation.
We are so proud to see and support businesses like this who are committed to their faith and doing so much good in the world....
Read moreMama G’s Bakery has a charming, family-owned vibe with a nice selection of German-inspired treats. I tried an everything bagel, which was airy but could have used a bit more flavor (not a fan of the DIY cream cheese spread). The ham and cheese roll was a real highlight, and the blueberry pastry was okay – nothing special but enjoyable.
However, one notable drawback was the overwhelming amount of Christian decorations everywhere. While I respect their choice to display their faith, it felt like a lot for a public setting. It may unintentionally limit their customer base, as the decor could make some visitors feel out of place. If the goal is to cater mainly to Christian customers, this approach makes sense, but from a business perspective, a more neutral atmosphere is better for business. All in all, it’s a bakery with good food, but the ambiance might not be...
