I recently dined at Pietro's Italian Restaurant and had an overall delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the warm, inviting atmosphere. The decor struck a nice balance between Italian and elegant, which set a pleasant tone for my meal. The staff greeted me warmly at the entrance and quickly seated me at a cozy table. The service throughout my visit was attentive without being overbearing. My server was knowledgeable about the menu, offering recommendations and answering questions about the various dishes. I appreciated their enthusiasm for the food, which made ordering a more enjoyable experience. To start, I ordered the bruschetta, which was fresh and flavorful. The combination of ripe tomatoes, basil, and a drizzle of balsamic reduction was a fantastic way to whet my appetite. For my main course, I opted for the fettuccine Alfredo, a classic choice, and it did not disappoint. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the Alfredo sauce was rich and creamy without being too heavy. It was clear that quality ingredients were used, as the flavors melded beautifully. I also took the opportunity to try one of their signature desserts, the tiramisu. It was light, fluffy, and the perfect amount of sweet, providing a nice ending to my meal. The presentation was lovely as well, adding to the overall experience. One highlight of dining at Pietro's was the sense of community I felt during my visit. The restaurant was bustling, yet it maintained an intimate vibe that made me feel connected to the surrounding diners. It was evident that many patrons were regulars, which speaks to the quality and consistency of the food and service. In terms of value, I found the prices to be reasonable given the quality of the food and the portion sizes. It seemed appropriate for an Italian restaurant of this caliber in the area. Overall, my visit to Pietro's Italian Restaurant was a positive one. The combination of a welcoming atmosphere, attentive service, and delicious, authentic Italian cuisine made for a satisfying dining experience. I would certainly recommend it to anyone in the mood for Italian food and look forward to returning to explore more of their menu...
Read moreWe were seated in the wine room which is lovely. It is very old world, cozy, dark and romantic which is challenging to find in a beach city. It is perfect if you are celebrating a special occasion. The Italian music set the perfect tone and atmosphere. It reminds me of the darkly lit, beautiful traditional Italian restaurants we used to frequent on the UES like Erminia's in NYC. When the food is not out in 2 minutes they are cooking from scratch. I greatly appreciate the time and effort. You can taste the quality of freshly prepared food. This is not fast food-it is freshly prepared high quality food. All good things come to those who wait. The veal parmigiana is tender and succulent with the perfect symphony of cheese and sauce. The side vegetables of peppers are cooked to perfection with a punch of flavor playing a harmony in my mouth. The generously served red wine is fullbodied and superbly smooth, with an aromatic bouquet. The servers are attentive but not intrusive. The main server, I didn't catch her name, is very accomodating and polite. We never felt rushed and savored every single morsel. The portions are generous and filling. They even sang happy birthday and came out with a slice of scrumptious cake and cream without any prompting when we mentioned we were celebrating my birthday. That is exceptional service right there. I greatly appreciate all the effort they made in terms of the food, service and making you feel special. I strongly recommend 👌. 100 stars. Lovely, lovely, lovely. Thank you for making my birthday date...
Read moreI had high expectations for Pietros! He's from Brooklyn where my mom and her delicious meals are from. The interior reminds me of the many trattorias in New York. It seats roughly 50 patrons, using every inch of available space. The wait staff has a job weaving in and out of the tight space. The walls are lined with wine bottles, it's cute!
But what happened, when the meal came? We started with a decent Italian bread and dipping oil. Then, I enjoyed the Arugula Salad which was excellent and my husband had the eggplant, which was good, extremely creamy. My main course was the linguini con vongole, the pasta was swimming in olive oil but it was not the same yummy oil for dipping the Italian bread. This dish tasted like salt and oil and I missed the classic dish with the layering of flavors. My other option would have been the branzino, but I really wanted to taste their pasta. My husband had the Salmon with spinach and peppers he asked for a side of penne and got a dish of linguini in marinara sauce. He thought the Salmon was good but nothing more. We had a nice Gava wine, which is the same wine we enjoy at home and he had a limoncello to top off the evening. Usually a date night for us lasts longer than 1 hour. We walked in at 6:20 and walked out at 7:20. We felt very rushed!!!! Usually with an experience like this we are one and done. Sarasota has great restaurants. But, because so many of you give it high marks. We will give them another try, in the summer when it's not the...
