We were seated in the wine room which is lovely. It is very old world, cozy, dark and romantic which is challenging to find in a beach city. It is perfect if you are celebrating a special occasion. The Italian music set the perfect tone and atmosphere. It reminds me of the darkly lit, beautiful traditional Italian restaurants we used to frequent on the UES like Erminia's in NYC. When the food is not out in 2 minutes they are cooking from scratch. I greatly appreciate the time and effort. You can taste the quality of freshly prepared food. This is not fast food-it is freshly prepared high quality food. All good things come to those who wait. The veal parmigiana is tender and succulent with the perfect symphony of cheese and sauce. The side vegetables of peppers are cooked to perfection with a punch of flavor playing a harmony in my mouth. The generously served red wine is fullbodied and superbly smooth, with an aromatic bouquet. The servers are attentive but not intrusive. The main server, I didn't catch her name, is very accomodating and polite. We never felt rushed and savored every single morsel. The portions are generous and filling. They even sang happy birthday and came out with a slice of scrumptious cake and cream without any prompting when we mentioned we were celebrating my birthday. That is exceptional service right there. I greatly appreciate all the effort they made in terms of the food, service and making you feel special. I strongly recommend 👌. 100 stars. Lovely, lovely, lovely. Thank you for making my birthday date very special.

First time at Pietro’s and overall we were disappointed. A friend loves the place so we gave it a try. Initial impression was very good and the atmosphere is very nice. We were seated in the wine room and the Colombian waitress served us. We ordered the Cesar salad to spit, the special eggplant rollatini and the veal Parmesan. After we ordered I asked the waitress if the Cesar contained anchovies. She said no, but could add them. I said great. When the salads came, they were fairly small, which was ok since they were split and I had two anchovies and my wife had none. Hmm. Salad was ok, but nothing I would order again. Both the rollatini and the veal dishes were good, though both were overcooked. We ordered the chocolate soufflé for dessert. Fairly small portion and the center was warm not hot and overall not that tasty. Got the bill and was very surprised that the extra charge for splitting the salad was not $2.50 but $2.50 for each plate or $5.00 extra. So rather than $13 for one Cesar salad we paid $18. All the desserts are $14. Way too much for what we had. We were informed by another friend that when they go they make sure to avoid that waiter.

Fantastic Dinner!!!! We've always loved Pietro's and perhaps it was even better tonight because we haven't been able to visit in months due to the lockdown. But the food, the wine and especially Pietro, Susan and their staff were simply terrific. It was like visiting with family you haven't been able to see in a long time. My husband enjoyed the Veal Chop special (shown in photo) served over risotto. It was a huge dish and he ate every last bit of it (OK, I had a few bites, too!). I enjoyed veal piccata (I enjoy all the veal dishes here) with a side of pasta with marina. The veal was as good as always and the pasta was perfectly cooked al dente with an excellent marinara sauce. But one of the best things we enjoyed was Pietro's new wine from Campania, Italy. It is a wonderful Taurasi ... a bit on the expensive side but it was delicious! It was a special evening getting to enjoy a wonderful restaurant re-open so we splurged on a wonderful bottle of wine. So happy that one of our favorite restaurants is open once again. We'll be back soon!

I recently dined at Pietro's Italian Restaurant and had an overall delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the warm, inviting atmosphere. The decor struck a nice balance between Italian and elegant, which set a pleasant tone for my meal. The staff greeted me warmly at the entrance and quickly seated me at a cozy table. The service throughout my visit was attentive without being overbearing. My server was knowledgeable about the menu, offering recommendations and answering questions about the various dishes. I appreciated their enthusiasm for the food, which made ordering a more enjoyable experience. To start, I ordered the bruschetta, which was fresh and flavorful. The combination of ripe tomatoes, basil, and a drizzle of balsamic reduction was a fantastic way to whet my appetite. For my main course, I opted for the fettuccine Alfredo, a classic choice, and it did not disappoint. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the Alfredo sauce was rich and creamy without being too heavy. It was clear that quality ingredients were used, as the flavors melded beautifully. I also took the opportunity to try one of their signature desserts, the tiramisu. It was light, fluffy, and the perfect amount of sweet, providing a nice ending to my meal. The presentation was lovely as well, adding to the overall experience. One highlight of dining at Pietro's was the sense of community I felt during my visit. The restaurant was bustling, yet it maintained an intimate vibe that made me feel connected to the surrounding diners. It was evident that many patrons were regulars, which speaks to the quality and consistency of the food and service. In terms of value, I found the prices to be reasonable given the quality of the food and the portion sizes. It seemed appropriate for an Italian restaurant of this caliber in the area. Overall, my visit to Pietro's Italian Restaurant was a positive one. The combination of a welcoming atmosphere, attentive service, and delicious, authentic Italian cuisine made for a satisfying dining experience. I would certainly recommend it to anyone in the mood for Italian food and look forward to returning to explore more of their menu...

I had high expectations for Pietros! He's from Brooklyn where my mom and her delicious meals are from. The interior reminds me of the many trattorias in New York. It seats roughly 50 patrons, using every inch of available space. The wait staff has a job weaving in and out of the tight space. The walls are lined with wine bottles, it's cute!

But what happened, when the meal came? We started with a decent Italian bread and dipping oil. Then, I enjoyed the Arugula Salad which was excellent and my husband had the eggplant, which was good, extremely creamy. My main course was the linguini con vongole, the pasta was swimming in olive oil but it was not the same yummy oil for dipping the Italian bread. This dish tasted like salt and oil and I missed the classic dish with the layering of flavors. My other option would have been the branzino, but I really wanted to taste their pasta. My husband had the Salmon with spinach and peppers he asked for a side of penne and got a dish of linguini in marinara sauce. He thought the Salmon was good but nothing more. We had a nice Gava wine, which is the same wine we enjoy at home and he had a limoncello to top off the evening. Usually a date night for us lasts longer than 1 hour. We walked in at 6:20 and walked out at 7:20. We felt very rushed!!!! Usually with an experience like this we are one and done. Sarasota has great restaurants. But, because so many of you give it high marks. We will give them another try, in the summer when it's not the...
