Island Root Kava Bar Satellite Beach — Restaurant in Satellite Beach

One of the crown jewels of the Island Root empire. It is an almost ideal setup. Large bar, pool, table seating, outside seating and a stage for music. It sports the standard menu with solid kava and teas. And most important, it is placed in a strip mall with awesome food and snack options. This makes this location an ideal stop for a lunch or dinner visit. Grab some good food nearby and chill with it at the bar. The staff is solid and the crowd is robust. A little further from my home than I like to drive for a quick visit but it is definitely moving up in the rotation. Their stage, not a little after thought like in some other bars, is also frequented by musical acts which try to make me drive the extra distance. I was introduced to Kava this past week while escaping the brutal northeast winter with a visit to the space coast. What a treat! Tony, Johnny, Christian, and several regulars made me feel immediately at home and provided the necessary education on Kava/Kratom 101. What a tremendous alternative to the traditional alcohol-fueled bar experience. I found the drinks to be soothing, relaxing, soul-affirming, and energizing.
