Paradise Beach Club — Hotel in Satellite Beach

So glad I made the choice to stay here. Brought my three daughters here and had an awesome time. The units (#221) are spacious with two bathrooms and good water pressure, a must, comfortable beds and a kitchen with everything you need, fridge, microwave, dishwasher and all the pots and pans, dishes, silverware and glasses you need. The balcony is great ( table with three chairs and a chaise lounge) with spectacular views of the beach and ocean. The beach is literally steps from resort. I walked down to the beach every morning with the ocean waves crashing on my feet while watching the sunrise. A serene feeling for sure. The staff was outstanding ( John & Karen) and made us feel like family. They take great care of the property and keep the pool very clean. The guests we met were great too. I hated to leave! Shopping and restaurants are close, some across the street. Kennedy Space Center 30 minutes away, Cocoa Beach 15 minutes and Melbourne historic district 20 minutes, with great shopping and food. The Brevard Zoo has to be the best interactive zoo we have ever been to, an absolute must to visit with the kids. I was unsure before booking with PBC, price, location etc., but day one of my 9 day stay I was sold. Could not have been happier with my choice to stay here. Look at the pics I have attached if you have any doubts. Sea turtles laid eggs on the beach every night we were there too. Only minor issue is you will hear some noise from unit above, not a big deal and there are rocks in the ocean in front of the resort. Wear water shoes for sure! Stayed in condo 216 for 5 nights. I chose this place off of pictures and reviews. Was extremely disappointed upon arrival. It’s a budget friendly place, I get that, but it was nothing like the pictures. After doing some research upon arrival, I realized this place was reno’d maybe 6-8 years ago so the pictures are way out of date. The walls, doors, and baseboards were beat up and dirty, there was no rug in the main area as pictured or rugs anywhere so your feet constantly felt grungy from sand. The first hour walking on the floor our feet were black from the dirty floor. The worst part, however, was the horrible smell of the place, a combo of old and cleaning chemicals (reminiscent of a nursing home). The smell was horrible. The office sent a maintenance man to come check out the smell. While he was there we noticed the air filter was full of debris and dust and so he removed it (obviously it hadn’t been changed in a long time) The pool, it looks rather large in the pictures, it’s tiny and the sides of the lip of the pool had mold/algae build up, obviously hadn’t been cleaned recently. The office tried to remedy the situation by sending maintenance, having the floors cleaned, etc. Taylor was very gracious and gave us a refund of one night. DO NOT PLAN ON COMING HERE IF YOU AREN'T AT LEAST 50 YEARS OLD OR AREN'T WITH A FAMILY!! We had a group of guys come down here to stay ranging from 23-30 years old and were out by the pool deck minding our own business and doing nothing that anyone else wasn't doing. The manager lady came barging out and belittled us 3-4 different times because we were drinking by the pool (even though everyone was drinking by the pool). She only made it a point to tell us that WE weren't aloud to drink by the pool because she obviously didn't have a problem with anyone else doing it. My friends and I can get rowdy sometimes, but we were totally being respectful and minding our own business the whole time. We were even cleaning up our trash. I've never felt so judged and disrespected in my life. Even the older people by the pool that we talked to were saying they had no problems with us being there and that they enjoyed our company. The last time she approached my group of friends and myself, she told us again that we can't be drinking by the pool and kicked us off and made us go down to the beach, all while there was another group of people right by us all with drinks in their hands, and she didn't say a word to them.
