I hate to start out negative, but when people go out of their way to gush about a competitorāespecially when what's being said is demonstrably inaccurateāthat's classless. It's actually a step lower than people that throw plastic bags of rocks at your house with business cards inside; they both need help with actual marketing, but at least the baggie throwers have good and honest intentions.
That aside, don't take anyone else's word for these reviews, mine included. Go see it yourself. For what you're getting, including the convenience and someone else making it for you (and profiting enough to stay open), it doesn't cost that much to go once and form your own opinion.
If you do, you will see that it's entirely possible for something to be pre-made and fresh. That should go without saying, but I'll underline it: the thing is fresh when it's being pre-made. Is your bread gross because the dough was made at 6am? No, that was just the time when it could be made to prepare for the day.
Also, whatever the label is or however much earlier in the day that one part of the thing was made before you got there, that shouldn't be as important as the experience. For me, it's a killer one. Flavorful and perky and full of great texture; you don't like some aspect of it? Well, the next second something else is dancing over it. Live for the journey.
Given that you can sit there and watch them finish it with literally everything else but the acai (including slicing the fruit a couple feet away from your face), I'd say that's pretty fresh!
Lastly, one of the perks of a mom and pop place like this is that you can talk to the people and be educated about their process (ask about the coffee!). You don't have to guess and carry around the burdens of assumption. Don't get me wrong, maybe I got lucky, and people are always allowed to not like the food, and certainly everyone is entitled to speak their mind about their own experience. That's valid. Just don't be a shill and don't be disingenuous.
As for my own personal experience: I happened to have loved it. It was my first acai bowl place, so I grant that maybe I don't know what all is out there or at what price or guided by what process. I just know I walked in, was greeted by real, sincere, friendly people, everyone seemed to be having a good time, and the experience was very personal and communal.
Half the places I go nowadays the workers stare through you, or wear headphones, or if they talk it's to tell you about how much they don't like working and are anxious to leave. So if I pop into a place like this and feel like an actual guest, being treated hospitably, that's worth it to me! I go back to places like that. I'm a simple guy. It's a nice feeling.
This is one of those places that reminds you why it's important to still have local businesses instead of just big box stores and Amazon. It's like a grandma with a pie shop, except the grandma's much younger and they're serving tasty bowls of...

Negatives: The aƧaĆ bowls are disappointing. I wish the aƧaĆ wasnāt pre-frozen, as this makes it difficult to eat when itās rock hard. Itās just not pleasant. When I got my aƧaĆ bowl and saw that it was frozen, I thought there was a mistake, as thereās no way a business could be ok with serving something like that. Once I saw that everyone else in my party had frozen aƧaĆ, I realized it was knowingly served like that.
Another thing I want to mention is that this place has soooo much potential to be amazing, but their decor/interior design is so bare minimum and gives off a depressing vibe of a business building designed in the 80s. It seems like the owners put minimum effort into the interior design and it shows, big time. They just threw up a few surfboards and ocean water artwork. Sadly, this place STILL looks exactly like what it was previously used for (a tile store). When it comes to a business like this, vibes are so important. This place could seriously use a fresh paint color inside, something to make it feel more hip and lively (please, anything but beige!!!!!). And those floors...... I think they can speak for themselves. Most importantly, it is so bare and empty in there. I feel like if it were filled with a bunch of lush greenery (real or fake- doesnāt even matter) and decorative plants, it would look and feel amazing in there! Perhaps greenery/foliage hanging from the ceiling tiles and plants up against the walls. That would really give off a cool beachside botanical feel. Some warmer lighting inside would help too, just anything other than that harsh classroom lighting. These simple design improvements would improve the vibe of this place astronomically. I hope to see this place do better and reach its potential. Iām fully aware that the bar is set pretty darn low for small businesses in this town, but Iām tired of seeing new small businesses stay in that playing field when they have potential to be great. Just...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy girlfriend and I came in here for our first time, we each ordered the āNitro Cream Cascadeā cold brew, and we shared the āWicked Pineappleā AƧaĆ bowl and the āGame Changerā peanut butter cookie sandwich. Everything was amazing! The āGame Changerā was incredibly good! I would recommend it to everybody who enjoys a good peanut butter cookie! And the AƧaĆ bowl was super fresh! From all the places I have gone that serves aƧaĆ bowls, this was by far the best for quality! But hands down my favorite part of my whole order was the āCream Cascadeā cold brew! I would confidently say that it is the best cold brew I have had! I had to get a second cup of it while I was there because I finished my first one within a minute of getting it because it was so good! But the best part of the experience I had was the friendly customer service I received and the delicious recommendation from the owner to add cinnamon and sea salt to my second āCream Cascadeā to add extra flavors to the pallet, and it was the best recommendation anyone could have offered! I couldnāt even explain how much more it added to the drink! If you go in for your first time or returning, I would recommend adding the cinnamon and sea salt! You wonāt regret it! I am most definitely going to return for more of their their cold brew and peanut butter cookie sandwiches! Great job to āThe Wicked...
