Justin's Toll House Restaurant — Restaurant in Savannah

I normally don't go by revews. So I went to try this place out my self. We took our kids. they got chicken strips and fries. My boyfriend got the fish. I got the spaghetti. Sometimes you should just liston to the revews. So I will be as detailed as possible. We got there got a table we got our drinks in no time. We ordered about 15 minuts after we got there so we could look over the menu see what was new. We didn't wait but 30 35 minutes for our food. But this is when it took a confusing turn..... A lady sitting next to us with also 2 kids had her order after ours and the witer brought us her and her kids food put it on our table . My 2 yr old was very happy.. till they had to take it away and give it to the right table. Yes things happen but we had been there longer than her and waiting longer than her she had the same kids plates we had and a burger with all the fixingings on it. So anyway as my 2 yr old cries and my 4 yr old ask why did the lady take my food mommy? I started to get un settled. When our food got there 10 minuts later after the fact. I took my first bite of the spaghetti. I added salt.. took another bite... Added pepper and more salt... Took one more bite. Relized there is no amount of salt or pepper that would fix the taste. Bland tasted like caned tomato paste with nothing in it but meat and a unsalted noodle mixture. I have grown up in the hospital my whole life I would of never expected a restrant to taste like hospital food.... So I didn't eat it. I tried a chicken tender from my daughters plate..... Fower thats it flower and specks of black that looked like pepper but was just from the un clean greese they probably fried them in. It had no flavor just flower batter they dipped them in. Once again... Hospital food fake nasty no flavor hospital food..... So I did what anyone would do I tried my boyfriends fish plate. And when I say this was the absolute worst fish I have put in my mouth sence I went fishing and learned carp is not a fish you wanna eat out of the river. It was descusting. I spit the chicken and fish out after one bite. The fish was like it had been eating mud its whole life and lived in sludge water unfiltered nasty just ew. Now the waiter was nice ish. You could tell she was faking very uncomfortable unhappy with her job it was verry forced. She said the same thing to evry kids that walked in sounded quite rehursed. Not a fan but se was trying so I'll give her that. All in all if I watend to eat hospital food I'd of just gone to the hospital and ate. Then that way I wouldnt of spent 55$ on hospital trash and got it free. Save some money eat at...

For being an over priced steak house....this place is not for the working man. $12.00 for half a grilled chichicken salad. And I do mean half the chicken and half the salad. My server Sherry never offered me a straw. Never offered me a hot bar reveiw. Just an annoyed look because I asked for a menu and was not ready to order within a minute of receiving the menu.

Come to find out she was in to big of a hurry to count her tips rather than wait on me.

My favorite part was when she decided to talk down to me because I did not hear her explain how they brought up an over sized side salad bowl for your make your own salad. Because the cooks were just not going to make a salad for you. Boy was Sherry quick to point that out!

Now this over priced place has one of the worst choice salad bars I have ever saw.

I have more choices at home.

Never once did Sherry bother to check on me. After all her tips were just so much more important. You could tell I was looked down on by her. Mote like a bother me being there. I guess she figured out I was not one of Savannahs well to do clients.

So do not worry Sherry. You ran off this working girl. After all. I have a small business. But obviously looking like an average person counts for nothing to her.

And shame on you Justin...... You were to busy kissing tail with the well to do to talk to me. You took one look at me and turned a quick blind eye to me.

You keep your over priced play pen. Me and mine are never coming back.

Best breakfast n plate lunch inside the savannah city limit sign far as I know for that cozy home cooked style food.. Always get good service ..better than average by a ways im talking.. And Freda is real fair on her prices.. Great woman from a good family and knows how to treat folks because of it.. I sure do love that they keep the chocolate gravy on their breakfast menu cause you cant get it just any ole place these days.. If youre in Savannah and Hungry and want a quick bite without having to go to Mcdonald or sonic again for the zillionth time..stop in the toll house and youll get a better meal for a comperable price in likely about the same amount of time with friendly...
