I’m not a Savoy BWW regular (though I eat in other BWWs pretty often). Also, I’m...irritated; so bear those things in mind as you read this review. On the evening 06-01-19 I arrived with four other family members to have supper with another family of three at 17:30. The idea was to have a meal, chat, and then walk across to the IMAX to catch a 19:00 movie. The other family showed up before we did to secure a table for eight, so at least that part wasn’t an issue. We sat down and got drinks pretty quickly. Then we waited. Folks, it was twenty to twenty-five minutes before we saw our server again. And if this place were packed, with employees running around to keep up, I’d understand (I’ve worked in food service before). But no. Including our table and another larger party behind us I’m figuring no more than fifty patrons total, and plenty of slow moving staff on hand to take care of everyone. Most of them seemed more interested in talking amongst themselves than doing their customers any favors. Even the host spent a large portion of the time we were there with his forearms on the railing near his station looking like he was about to fall asleep. When we did finally get our orders in we also got another round of drinks. Because, surprise, everyone was dry after a half-hour of sitting. Then we sat again...until at 18:20 I got up and went to find our server. I said “Can you check on our food? We’ve been here about an hour and we’ve got a movie to catch at seven.” He went to check and came out to tell me that the food was being plated ...and that they had run out of avocado (so none would be on my burger). Might have been nice to know that information before the moment that I was about to get my food...but it’s avocado...not the end of the world. Just before 18:30 we get served. Eight orders. Three of them are wrong! My wife ordered boneless...got regular). Daughter ordered a cheeseburger...at least the bun was on it, but the cheese must have slipped off during the plating. The wife of the other couple had two issues (one was not getting the veggies she ordered). So, four issues spread across three people (five and four, but I’m not counting the missing avocado). We’ve got about fifteen minutes to eat, and still leave us enough time to get situated at the theater...so nobody is even considering sending anything back. No offer from the server to refill drinks again (because...you know...we’ve been sitting for another half-hour). I asked the server to bring the bill as soon as he had put the last plate down. He brought it, and I paid. No apologies for our wait, no reduction in the bill. For eight people our bill was very nearly $180.00...and only about three alcohol drinks in that price. $180.00 for eight people, so about $22.50 each. Two of my family (admittedly slow eaters) had to get to go boxes and ate the bulk of their supper AFTER the movie. Now maybe I’m being unreasonable when I think that a wing joint (not some five star restaurant) should be able to get eight people fed and out the door in an hour and a quarter without the patrons needing to rush. But regardless, with the amount of time it took, at least the orders should have been 100% right...not 62.5% right. Honestly the whole experience felt like checking into the ER at a hospital. They get you in, largely ignore you after that, but are Johnny on the spot with the bill...though I’d hope a hospital with a 62.5% accuracy rating would strive for improvement. Oh, before I forget, the food was delicious...at least what I could taste of it as I tried to bypass my mouth and stuff it directly into my stomach. Our only real vote in this country is made with our wallets. All I can say is that, I won’t personally be casting any votes for the Savoy BWWs again...especially if I intend to do...

I took the fam to BW3's & couldn't help but notice that the place was a well-thought-out and intentional assault upon my senses. The music & the resulting din of ppl screaming over the music was almost comical. You literally couldn't tell what someone was saying 2 ft away. Naturally, our waitress got our order wrong. She couldn't hear us and seemed somewhat nonchalant over that fact. It was in a kindly but knowingly fatalistic way that no matter what, we were ordering chicken. This lack of seriousness of these irrelevant choices alarmingly removed the shiny veneer of purpose and meaning that one clings to on a Tuesday night surrounded by screaming strangers vociferously eating chicken. The very balance between order and chaos was suddenly on the menu and the waitress' Grim Reaper like response was adding to the feeling of impending doom. The 800 tvs and constant commotion of customers, waitresses, and staff bustling about made the perfect atmosphere for dining upon chicken lathered in way too spicy, salty, sludge. The spices and sauces are not just slightly overdone. They are seasoned and applied in excess by several orders of magnitude so that you can't even be sure that you're eating chicken anymore without a cursory glance. I am a seasoned veteran of this type of fare so I wisely ordered ranch dressing (at no extra charge) to counteract my poor life choices. We consumed our food, paid the bill, and left with a odd sense of simultaneous shame and pride that can only be derived by eating in this fashion. Now I'm safely home and nestled away, BW3s is long in the rearview mirror and is unable to hurt me anymore. I am now able to safely contemplate what is the purpose of BW3s and how should it fit into one's life.* How long will it take before I forget this commercialized, over-wrought, over-spiced, over-stimulated assault upon my very being lathered in regret? I eat there a few times a year and somehow I forget this experience every time. I was actually excited when the prospect of hotwings came up. I thought to myself, "Nice, now don't say anything to screw this up, we're having hotwings!" The more that I examine and self-reflect, I realize that there must be something about the ranch dressing!
*This only now being possible without the helpful inquisitions and prompt refills of waitstaff to distract me.

Read moreOn February 26, I called to place an order for 15 boneless wings. I was put on hold the first time for over 10 mins. Not a problem. I understand restaurants get busy. I hung up and called again. The second time I called they asked if I could be put on hold and I politely told them I had already waited 10 mins could they just take my order? She kindly told me she was heading to the register it would be just a couple of mins. 10 mins again. So I hung up and called back. Then my call is unanswered a couple of time, went straight to automated a couple times. When my call was finally answered a guy answers and doesn’t even try to hear me and just tells me I’m being put on hold. I call more and when he answers my call I ask to speak with a supervisor or manager and he hangs up. After a few more calls a second guy answers and he just loudly tells me they are closed. On a Monday at 5:35 in the evening. And proceeds to hang up. He did this to me twice. After a few MORE tries, I finally talk to the first girl who answered and now she is giving me attitude! Yelling at me that I need to be patient because they are busy and understaffed because of a carry over promotion from the Super Bowl and it was national wing day. How in the hell was I supposed to know? That should have been told to me the first time and I would have just went somewhere else. I have never been treated like that by a restaurant before. When I finally did talk to a manager they said I could get 10 bucks off a meal the next time I come in. Come back? How do I know my food will not be messed with considering they had to take my name? I will never come back. I was so mad. I just got off of work and wanted wings. Unbelievable experience. Unprofessional and rude. My meal should have been on them. Period. I would love to see the patience of any of the three incredibly rude staff members had they had been on the receiving end of this situation. They would have made a scene in your establishment and honestly maybe I...
