I am so sick with the flu today, I also lost my wallet somehow and had to cancel my debit card and my credit cards. My vehicle is in the shop, and I was so hungry and had no choice but to order for delivery, however, I don’t have cash on me, and canceled my cards. When I called , I asked if the delivery driver had a device he brings with him so I can pay for the food with my IPhone. Amy, the young lady who answered the phone told me they do not have that device available to the customer. When she asked me why I asked about it, and when I explained why I can’t leave the house, and that I lost my wallet etc etc… She felt bad that I couldn’t order dinner without them allowing me to pay with my iPhone at my front door. Amy then gave me her phone number so that I can transfer funds to her phone and offered to swipe her phone at the counter in the store,… What a beautiful person she is inside and out … that was so kind of her to offer that to me , and I just feel that there is not very many people who would do such a thing … Here’s to you Amy, Cheers! The world needs more compassionate and awesome people like yourself, I hope you have an amazing Thanksgiving tomorrow and a beautiful Christmas just ahead from today, and once again, THANK...
Read moreAs someone born and raised in New Jersey, I can tell you I’ve tried about a million different slices of pizza. What I’ve found is there are 2 types of pizza: good pizza, and fast pizza. Occasionally, you’ll come across a place who has managed to craft a perfect 50/50 split. Though rare, it is possible. I moved to this area about 3 years ago, and I have tried nearly every pizza joint in a 10 mile radius.
When Nana’s came along, I was skeptical, as I had found a regular spot with decent enough pizza and was pretty happy. But one fateful night, we switched it up and tried Nana’s. I can tell you: I will be ordering Nana’s for as long as I am within an hour driving distance. Whether it’s pickup or delivery, our pizza has always been fresh and just crispy enough. The garlic knots are light and fluffy with plenty of garlic. The sauce is to die for. The wings are never burnt, and the ratio of breading to meat is a healthy one. Everything we have ever ordered from Nana’s has been a grand slam. It just works out they’re a 5 min walk for me, too! (Though most days we order delivery any way because we’re Mets fans and we can’t risk missing out on a single minute of them losing)
Love you Nana’s! Keep...
Read moreEdit: I have to rave more. Nanas pizza has to be a top 5 slice of all time for me. I’ve had Sally’s, El Pepe’s up there in New Haven (Dave Portnoy’s 9.0+ ratings). Nanas is better than El Pepe’s. It’s the real deal. I feel like they should be getting some kind of recognition. I swear, I was on the road the other day and had a bad slice; the next day I had to wash my mouth out with Nana’s. I talk about Nana’s pizza so much to my wife it’s a running joke.
Advice: get it by the pie, not by the slice. Slice has been sitting out - not really close to how good the pie is. It’s a heavy pizza, no flop - great crust. Excellent tasting...
