Stopped to have dinner tonight and had my service dog with me. They asked to see papers to which I replied that’s illegal to ask. I started to show them but then decided it was discrimination and very illegal so declined. Told them it’s very illegal to refuse my service dog and ask to see her papers. I will not return to this restaurant and encourage others not to as well. I also told them I could sue them.
To the owners, I suggest you brush up on the law because the next person may not be so nice.
Oregon law prohibits all animals except for service animals in grocery stores, restaurants, and other food establishments. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) defines a service animal as a dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for a person with a disability.
Is It Legal to Ask for Service Dog Papers? The quick answer is no. According to the ADA, employees at a business "are not allowed to request any documentation" for a service dog. The American Disability Act (ADA) prohibits both public and private businesses from discriminating against people with disabilities.
Does the ADA require that service animals be certified as service animals? A. No. Covered entities may not require documentation, such as proof that the animal has been certified, trained, or licensed as a service animal, as a...
Read more⭐⭐ Here is a 6th and 7th star since I only have the option for 5 above.
Edit2: Seventh star tonight. The Pork Fried Rice is making my 20 month old dance every bite of it she takes. It is amazing how much she likes it. She started eating it directly off the plate with her mouth like she was bobbing for apples, and then dancing a little and smiling.
Edit: I am very full again because this food is so good and I'm again faced with this perfect chicken and sweet and sour sauce tempting me to get overfull. I am sitting here thinking about how good this food is and how good I feel after eating it. I just had to add to my review.
Original review: This is a top notch Chinese restaurant and the prices are affordable. My family has eaten here a bunch of times over this last year since we moved to Scappoose and we felt good afterwards every time. Everything I have had here has tasted awesome. My wife is extremely picky about restaurants so it is a relief that when I mention eating here she always says ok.
We realized that we spend the same amount or more at fast food but here we have leftovers.
The only problem is that I am already full and I have some of this perfectly done, crispy and fluffy, sweet and sour chicken in front of me and I can't stop eating it. It is making me have to sit back in my chair or my tummy...
Read moreWe called in an order, and we were told there would be an hour wait. We waited an hour and went to get our food. We waited several minutes inside and then we were asked to pay. We paid and then waited some more. Our order didn't come out. At least two people walked in while we waited, ordered food on the spot, and left with their food while we waited. After about 30 minutes of waiting (on top of the hour we were told) we asked about our food. We were told our order would be next. Instead, three or four other orders were filled. We asked again after another 20 or so minutes. The excuse this time was that the walnut shrimp we ordered was the reason for the delay. Now it had been 2 hours since we first ordered our food. We finally got our food and left. ( No discount, and only a minimal apology was offered.) We got home and discovered that several items were missing from our appetizer plate. Also we were given one small sweet and sour sauce for our whole order, plus a container of something that tasted like catsup, and something that reminded us of taco sauce. The rest of the food was not worth a...
