Char Kabobs — Restaurant in Schaumburg Township

PHENOMENAL!!! PHENOMENAL!!! Truly PHENOMENAL!!! My mother is Punjabi Pathan, so she is VERY particular about certain delicacies such as Chapli Kabab, and since it is not offered on many menus we only ever make it at home. It was the Chapli Kabab being offered on the menu that made us come here, and needless to say I was SUPER SKEPTICAL. Boy oh boy was I made into a believer.

Both the hubs and I ordered the Char Chapli Kabab Burger - so that’s a Chapli Kabab made of lamb meat. You can order the same kind of kabob in other protein offerings such as chicken or beef. My mother ordered a Beef Bihari Kabab entree, along with a salt lassi and a paratha. And lastly, my husband ordered the Lamb Bihari Kabab entree with a paratha, mostly to try, and take the rest home for lunch tomorrow.

The Char Chapli Burger was ABSOLUTE perfection! The bun was toasted well, and there was a bright green sauce that tasted like a twist between mustard and Hari Chutney (mint cilantro chutney). But it was the actual Kabab patty that was PURE DELICIOUSNESS! Crispy on the corners, but not overdone in the middle, moist and juicy and charred to perfection - I was on seventh heaven with each and every bite. Mom’s beef Bihari was also seasoned perfectly, she stated that she assumed it would be overly spicy as that’s what she has encountered all other places - but that this Bihari kabab was seasoned without burning the mouth. Soft and melt in your mouth pieces of meat with an absolutely scrumptious paratha, that’s how you do Bihari Kabab. My husband’s lamb Bihari was the same. The salt lassi was also really good.

They also offer Chelow Kababs, which (like the Chapli) are another delicacy of Northern Pakistan and/or Afghan food. We did not order those this time but I’ll definitely be back to try those and the broast, and maybe the Masala Fries! Wait...why are you still sitting there reading this?? Go! Go and...

I was so impressed with both the cheeseburger and the hunter beef sandwich that I ended up going back twice in the same weekend! The cheeseburger was absolutely perfect—the beef was juicy and tender, the cheese was melted to perfection, and the bun was soft and slightly toasted, adding the perfect texture. It was everything you want in a classic cheeseburger—comforting, flavorful, and satisfying.

The hunter beef sandwich was equally amazing. The beef was rich and tender, with just the right amount of seasoning. The fresh veggies and savory spread elevated the whole sandwich, making each bite a delight. It was hearty but not too heavy, and the flavors were so well-balanced.

Both dishes were clearly made with care and top-quality ingredients. I couldn’t resist going back for a second round, and I’m already planning my next visit. If you’re looking for delicious, expertly crafted sandwiches, you won’t be disappointed....

This place had terrible service and not cleaned well. I don't know what was their story with water, but I came with a group of people and we all were tired and thirsty because we came from the gym. I asked them if we can get water for everyone and the guy gave us 1 small cap. This was tap water not some acient Egyptian water that's been aging for years. I asked again and same thing another small cup of tap water. Idk what their story with water was, but these guys weren't even flushing their bathrooms which very much ruined my appetite. The worst part was the menu, when we placed our order we asked if we can pay and the guy said pay after. Then when we went to pay after eating, the guy raised the price for everything and we told him that's not the price on the menu. He said the menu is 4 years and the menu doesn't reflect the actual price. I'm never going back to this trash place again and would recommend others to...
