The best thing you can do for yourself is find a different pizza place! Although it saddens me to say this, as we've been customers for years and this had always been our favorite pizza, it's simply not worth the trouble.
We were told our pizza would be ready in 45 minutes yet, when we FINALLY got to the front of the carryout line (which takes forever, because they have no system in place for people to wait outside or in their cars once they've paid, so their pizza can be brought to them), our pizza wasn't ready and they "didn't know where it was." Wow, a bit disturbing -- not in the warmer, so I guess in the oven would be the other possibility, although we have had them give our pizza away to someone else in the past -- seems anything is possible here.
They now also store crates of large bottles of pop in the very small carryout room, so there is no room for people to "step aside" so the next person can be waited on. Many customers commented on this. The management is extremely lacking here, so they have no plan in place to wait on the next person and keep things moving efficiently. They need a liaison to walk outside and call out the last name when that person's pizza is ready, instead of having everyone wait in a ridiculously long line for sometimes well over a half hour!
When the girl next to us arrived, they dropped her pizza, and after 45+ minutes, the new one still wasn't ready! She had also ordered wings, which they assured her wouldn't be cold when her pizza was finally done, because they were in the warmer. I'd want fresh wings, not wings kept in a warmer for about an hour.
I understand most places are understaffed. The young ladies working the carryout counter/phones are very busy, but clueless. They are literally bumping into each other, contuing to take pizza orders, although they haven't even given out pizzas to customers who placed orders 45-60+ minutes before -- after many times of asking to speak with a manager, Mike yelled through the cutout window between the kitchen and the front counter, "Can't you see we're a little busy?!" Yes, I certainly could -- however, if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. He was working very hard, but he was frazzled and certainly not good at dealing with unhappy customers. By the way, I believe it's safe to say every customer waiting for a pizza there last night was unhappy.
Some people came in to dine (stood by us a very long time and no one came to seat them) - after hearing our conversations, I believe they left to go have dinner somewhere else.
When we finally got our pizza, it was delicious, but not sure it was worth the trouble and time.
Until they have good management in place and hopefully get this back to how great they used to be, we will be going elsewhere.
I'm quite certain you lost a lot of customers last night, Mike. I honestly hope you can restore the business to what it used to be-- many people enjoy your pizza, including us, but your service and how you deal with...
Read moreThis establishment seems completely ill trained on handling large groups. I was there with a group of about 15 for a social meet up. The server seemed to only pop in occasionally and immediately disappear with people at the table calling out after her to stop because they needed something. Only once did it work when half the table finally raised a fuss to get her to stop from running off again. We were paying separately but when the bill came out, everyone was on the same ticket. We asked to have the orders broken out. They refused saying that, "their system couldn't do that." So we all went through and marked who got what and gave her the ticket to break it out separately. They refused, suggesting, instead, they we just give them our cards and decide how much we wanted charged to each one. We were all pretty miffed at this point but agreed, tabulating our respective totals and writing on the back of the ticket our card numbers and how much was to be charged to each. The server took our cards then came back a couple minutes later stating that they ran all the cards but apparently it didn't cover the entire total on the bill (someone made a math error it seemed - an easy mistake with that many people) so they decided to charge the difference onto the last card they ran. They did this without the permission or authorization of the card holder. They just doubled a member of our group's bill because the restaurant decided it wasn't their problem. Fortunately he was gracious enough to wave it off and cover the difference but this establishment has lost our business. I don't know what kind of an operation they are running but it's abysmal.
I guess on the positive side, the...
Read more2 times in a row, my order was wrong. First time, they added regular bacon instead of Canadian bacon…which was fine. I called to let them know bec maybe the young person who answered the phone didn’t know the difference, I just wanted to make them aware. The manager apologized and asked if I wanted a new one. I said it wasn’t necessary, that I just wanted to let them know. He said he’d add a $5 credit to my number for the problem so when I ordered in the future, I would have a credit. I told him it wasn’t necessary but I appreciated it nonetheless. Today I called to order again. They couldn’t find the credit but the girl gave it to me anyway when I explained the situation. I wasn’t really worried about the $5 but it was the point that they screwed up once now “lost” the paper indicating the credit. Well then I ordered my pizza for pickup and I CLEARLY said 1/4 cheese. My son can’t eat pork. I get home and the 1/4 that’s supposed to be cheese had sausage on it.
It’s just disappointing. These pizzas aren’t cheap and I’m honestly disappointed. I’ve worked in restaurants for over 15 years (no longer in the industry) and if I knew someone’s order was messed up last time…I’d make complete sure their current order was correct.
Food still tastes good…the parts we could eat. We love the sauce. But the service LACKS. I may have to commute further to a different location from now on. Funny thing is that I rarely leave reviews. Let alone bad ones. But the management should know,...
