We were a party of 4. The great: Staff is friendly, the food was fresh and delicious, the white chocolate mocha was also great. Atmosphere is nice, modern and pleasant.
The needed improvements: The experience can be made so much better. You enter lost with no specific area for a host to greet you and take your party info. You have one person wondering around feverishly writing names, party sizes and giving an estimated wait time as most places do. Now you wait! We were asked our name 5 times while waiting to give us updates. Waiting to be seated was about 45 minutes, waiting to get coffee after ordering it in the front and being told to sit at our table number was an additional 20 minutes, wait for food was an additional 30 minutes. By the time our food came to the table our coffee and hot chocolate were finished. Of we wantes to add something else to our order we would have to go to the front to order and wait again. It took an hour and 15 minutes to see food after we entered with only 6 small parties in front of us. Another area for improvement is having to pay before you are given food or service. I do not know how to tip on something I have not been provided. This is in the wrong order, I like to tip accordingly and I cannot do so with this setup. Another weird thing is you do not have a dedicated server, we had one person bring us our drinks, another person bring us our food, and what appeared to be the busser checking on us to be okay. You get many of the foumtain drinks self serve in the front-ordering area. Therefore not sure who I am even tipping exactly. This place desperately needs a modern touch to their hosting system that uses phone numbers that will call/text your party up. Even having orders placed while waiting up front when you are 3 parties away from being seated, this way not so much table time is wasted. Table sizes looked to be mostly wrong lots of 4 tops with only 2 guests and also 6 tops with only 4 guests. Waste of resources killing your waiting times. I hope some improvements are made to make for a better experience because food was great now if the waiting could be improved this place would be 5...
Read moreI was super excited when I saw the sign for this place go up, and then I kept tabs on Biscuit House’s Instagram to see when it would open. All that to say, my family and I were eagerly anticipating this place and it’s yummy breakfast goodness!
However, when we first go the chance to go, it was regretfully a disappointment. First, there was no one to greet us when we first entered, so we weren’t sure if we needed to get a table or go to the counter or what (I think they’ve since addressed that you head to the counter). Then, I was shocked at the total price…a couple of my kids just got an a la carte biscuit, 1 got an a la carte pancake, and I’m the only one who got a meal, but it was almost $60. (They didn’t have any sides listed on the menu, so I don’t even know what they charged for the “a la carte” items, but it seems like a lot for 1 meal, 2 biscuits, and 1 pancake. Next, they told me to sit at a table under the AC unit, which proceeded to drip on me until I finally found a server or someone to ask about moving. After the food came out, one of my kids accidentally spilled his drink and I was solo with the kids, but the servers who were kind of standing around didn’t bring napkins or help me with anything, so I had to run over to grab napkins (leaving my littles at the table alone) to try and clean up the mess. After that, I just went to the front, asked for a box, threw everyone’s stuff in and left.
Honestly, I was so flustered and was disappointed in the lack of awareness the employees had for noticing when people need assistance. It was not slammed in there. I looked around and saw at least 2 people who were just aimlessly walking around looking for things to do. I’m normally pretty patient having worked in food service previously, but this was a ROUGH experience. Unfortunately, the prices, the inattentive staff/servers, and the underwhelming food made us not...
Read moreThis is our 3rd time here. Our first time was during a soft opening. Second time was on the official Opening Day. And again now, two weeks later. So I'd say we have seen and consumed, a good balance between several growing pangs. Today prior to ordering, we shared our previous concerns with the hostess receiving our order. One major issue was the pancakes we had received weeks prior were very tasty but as thin as crepes. Absolutely not as the pictures on the walls depicte or the menu describes. Another coworker overhead our conversation and on her own went to the kitchen and asked the chef about the pancakes, then reported back to us with assurance. So we ordered an order of sweet cream pancakes, a single side of bacon and an egg, the California Omelet, and the Full Biscuit Breakfast. And two Special Coffees. Our service was wonderful. The Coffees came out just as we settled in at our table. Then by the time our second or third sips of the delicious coffee, our food was being served. Side note, all 3 times we have been here the food was served quickly. Our main concern, those pancakes. And buy let me tell you, they were dialed in on size and fluffiness! Please look at the pictures. We were quite pleased with all of our meals. The eggs cooked like we asked, Omelet was nearly perfect. Meats were cooked properly and the gravy was how you would imagine it, and it was! All 3 of us agreed, our meals about as perfect as could be. Our service was great. I think they have worked out some of the kinks that we experienced, even though we thought it was ok in past days we visited, i will say today was exceptional and we are looking forward to visiting more often. Can there be a downside? Yes, there is no pancake meal. You have to piece it together with side orders. Not economical. And no kids meal. Let's see if those items will be...
