Not sure why people mention the food being over priced or have complaints. You get what you pay for and some people don’t like paying for better quality food. Everything there I’ve had has been fantastic. A friend told me about the fish fry a few months ago and I can say with a little embarrassment that after trying it I went back for fish fry almost every Friday for a month straight after that. Maybe even snuck in a Wednesday night fish fry too😆 It’s SO good. I love that you can get it two days a week. They have daily food specials as well and it’s not the frozen junk you get from other bars either. The bar machines are an added bonus and the clientele and staff are incredibly friendly. My bf and I went last night after a long day at work and they served us food minutes before the kitchen closed. Super appreciated after both working incredibly long days and we hadn’t eaten all day. They even asked if we wanted extra wings right away since it was all you can eat but we were so appreciative of them serving us we declined. Who I believe to be the manager is very friendly. Super clean and have an impressive alcohol selection. My new favorite place to get a drink and meal after work. Wausau needs more places like this. I really like what they did with the old Avenue Lounge. The atmosphere is relaxing and kind of has a supper club feel. The drinks were made quickly and properly. The bartender was friendly, engaging and prompt with refills. I placed my food order and it arrived after a substantial amount of time,, but they were busy. At start, the steamed broccoli was slightly over room temperature. So I ate it quickly because 8 really dislike cold cooked broccoli. Next, I start on the main feature. I ordered the blackened ($2.99 up charge) salmon per the bartenders high recommendation. I started with the thinner section of the fish which is usually a little more cooked, but not in the case. It was very good. However, as I progressed through to the meaty side, it started going down hill fast. That part fish was overcooked significantly. It got so bad I couldn't eat the last 1/3 as it was very dry and not flakey at all (see last photo). I also upgraded to the twice baked potatoe ($3.99 up charge). It was mediocre. Not what I expected as for as quality from a place that has a decent men and moderately priced menu. Overall, my experience was "meh." I should have stuck to my gut and just ordered the spicy walleye. I will be back to try...

Came here on 8-23-25 with my best friend we come in waited about 5 minutes before the bartender noticed us we asked for menus and if we could sit outside, she said yeah of course my friend and I ordered two pops waited 25 minutes to order our food for the waiter to come back outside ordered our food took an hour and a half to get our food by the time we got our food which was two lobster tails, each asparagus and french fries it was cold it was overcooked really rubbery and nasty because asparagus was crunchy and crispy overdone, and all of it was cold the waiter was rude or bartender whatever you wanna call her didn’t check on us didn’t ask us if we needed refills or anything another waiter or bartender came out as we were ordering our food interrupted us, and was very rude spent over $150 here wasn’t busy when we were here either there was 3 bartenders altogether and four people sat at the bar with a football game going there were to focused on the football game to care about taking orders if you wanna feel uncomfortable and not welcomed somewhere this is the place for you bathroom was not clean did not have soap paper towel machine wasn’t working toilet was clogged just all around a bad place to go really...
