Ok so this rating is not for the food itself its for the lazy half dead zombie that is the "self proclaimed" manager. I called to order delivery and the guy... actually he sounded more like a video gaming, mashed potato brain zit face 16 year old kid got pissed off because I was asking the size difference between the large and extra large pizzas. I repeated what he said back to him to make sure I heard him correctly and his response was.. " yep thats what I said". Keep in mind the entire conversation was him acting short and rude and it seemed like the last thing he wanted to do is sell any food. Probably was too busy staring at his cell phone texting his buddies or something. So I asked to speak with the manager which he claimed he was the manager (if this is true I feel sorry for the owner of this place). I got the name of the franchise owner and I WILL be filing a complaint with him as well as the main corporation in Michigan. And Ill make sure everyone I know stays away from Hungry Howies Pizza. Why would anyone patronize a place that acts like they don't want...
Read moreHungry Howie's is just OK, but I have had it a lot over the years due to the convenient location. After the customer service experience I had yesterday at the S. Scottsdale location, I am done. I explained that I needed to order a car to get back home for work and just wanted to grab something (anything) quick to eat to go and asked about what might not take long - thinking there had to be something on the menu that was quick (a salad? a sandwich?). The guy was SO firm and condescending about how EVERYTHING on the menu took 30 minutes (even though in the end it did take only 15 minutes), it was like he was very irritated by my question. There were ZERO customers around, zero phone calls - I was the only customer, and it was earlier in the day and did not seem busy at all.The place was absolutely filthy to sit and wait for my food in. Just gross. I won't be back for that...
Read moreThe cashier was patient and took the time to let us download the app and gave us the QR Code for the Secret Menu. I wanted a deep dish that was half pepperoni and half Greek with chicken added. He took a few minutes to figure out how to properly ring it up. We went to the Fry's gas station across the street and came back to pick up the pizza and Howie bread. He gave us the bread and apologized and explained that they had to remake the pizza because it was not correct. We ate some bread while we waited for the correct pizza. That was what we hoped would be the usual experience at other locations, thank you. The atmosphere was only a 3 star rating because it's a tiny location with only a small counter to eat at, it was clean and as good as it could be given...
