Adalberto’s Mexican Food Drive Thru — Restaurant in Scottsdale

I have been going here to get Super Nachos since I moved to Scottsdale in '95 & it was always great. I typically go after work between 1 & 3 in the morning. Something changed 3-5 years ago. The chips seem like they are store bought or cooked in old oil. They are not very good any more, but I keep going back hoping it will change back & because the workers are friendly.

But, today, 2/13/21 will most likely end my relationship with an all time favorite that I go to once or twice a week. The chips were really good tonight, possibly because it was 12:45 so the oil was more fresh? They had a price increase. Super Nachos are now $14.04. That is crazy high for nachos, especially for ones with bad chips. Competitors withing 2 miles close earlier but are $10.69 on 68th. & $11.08 on McDowell. I have never had bad chips at either of them.

The deal breaker is the price, $14.04 is more than a huge breakfast at Denny's.

I may try them 1 more time just in case it was a mistake, but I asked if my price was correct & the guy at the window said, yes, we had a price increase. They have always been more expensive that others near by, but I think last week I paid around $12.00

Love the food, love the workers, hate the price. Might be...

My daughters were there 1am Thursday morning and tried to order food and was completely ignored! No one said one word! We are from out of town we arrived in Scottsdale pretty late so it was good to See a place open at that time to eat... we walked up And the workers were just sitting there looking at us! We were baffled! They didn’t say one word we kept saying hello can we order some food one black guy looked up at our face and just kept messing with his phone the cook looked at us and didn’t say a word the other guys just stood there we thought we were in the twilight zone! We were there like a good 30 minutes like ok can we ever order they didn’t say a word! What a terrible first experience in Arizona that place has scarred me for life what type of establishment is this? I’m a news reporter and I’ll make sure this makes the news! And hopefully shut this place down that is...

Food is hit and miss. There's no true consist product. Also the customer service is hit and miss. I was told yes to a question that was misunderstood and then later when the communication was clarified I was then told no. When I got to the window I wanted to confirm my order was taken properly due to all the prior confusion and the guy at the window which appeared to be an owner or top manager of the establishment had an attitude. He was upset that I was asking him to confirm my order and then I proceeded to ask why the total was so much due to what I was quoted at the mic/order area. The guy got more attitude and stated that I was asking too many questions and that he has been in the business for a long time. I'm not sure what I did wrong by asking for clarity due to the miscommunication. But regardless of his attitude my food was bomb! It hit the spot tonight....
