Just like many others have said, its is a very nice, welcoming & peaceful temple, no doubt about at all. “However”, the priest is definitely NOT. Just today I visited this temple, knowing that there is social distancing to be followed & masks are required, I kept a safe distance and respected all the rules and regulations. Upon leaving I asked for Charnamrit, Tilak & Prasad, he very rudely answered that we’re not doing any of that & asked me to leave. When I asked why are you being so rude about that, he asked me if I’m paying him and again rudely told me to leave. Seriously??? Its not the first time he has behaved like that. Last time, (not Covid times) I had visited there to get one of my necklaces blessed. He immediately asked me for his Dakshina. When I said I didn’t come prepared, he showed me the door. I simply don’t understand why is the temple mgmnt keeping this rude priest? Are they sleeping with their eyes open? Or may be they don’t want to acknowledge it. Well, its the last time I visited there. There are many other temples in the Valley and one is open heartedly welcomed in those, unlike here bcz of this priest. Honestly, if the mgmnt want to keep devotees coming here, they should seriously consider...
Read moreThis temple is 5 minutes away from me. I use to enjoy going here till about a couple years ago. That's when the current priest began. I love taking my kids and exposing them to my culture but the priest makes it very difficult to do so. When my oldest was 6 weeks I took him to be blessed, the priest asked me to remove him from the steps and would not bless my son. As a tradition, I was personally shocked. I recently took my son again and he was once again yelled at and I was told not to bring him if he can not sit still. My son is 2 and apparently it is a temple rule. The priest also gave me and 3 other people a handfull of grapes with fungi on all of them. I hate throwing offerings but I was forced to dispose of the grapes I was given. All this on a Friday afternoon at 12pm, the temple was empty.
Needless to say, I will not be returning to this temple till the priest has moved on. He is a disgrace in my opinion. I have never met a priest that yells at children, asks people not to bring their children or take them outside in 106 degree weather if they are unable to sit and keep quite. What the priest failed to realize is children are an offering of God and to insult a child (like he has mine) is an insult to...
Read moreTemple is really neat, clean and peaceful but the priest is very unpleasant. He just needs money and doesn't know how to speak to people. We had him perform some rituals but he doesn't know the process and very aground in replying when we tried to correct him. I haven't seen any priest who demand money from the devotees forcefully even before performing the rituals. It will be great if he can be replaced. I recommend to visit the temple but will not recommend the priest for any type of service. I hope the temple management checks these reviews and take some action on this or else temple will definitely miss the funds for the services coz of this priest. 5 stars to the temple but i am giving 1 stars coz of the priest so that people will not get...
