Refused to accept gift cards & proof of purchase - Buyer Beware Scam
Rotten Mother's Day experience to say the least. Longtime customers, we purchased $300 in gift cards Dec 2017. The last 3 times we try to use them we had issues, ending today in refusal to accept. We offered to show proof of purchase (credit card statement from Costco Citi VISA) to which we were told the owner did not care and refused. Asked to speak to owner and were told he’s not present. We asked to call the owner to which the answer remained a refusal. Wake up Summit Diner owner, you cannot steal from your customers & make your staff do your dirty work. Despicable business practice to your most loyal customers. We've always enjoyed your food, service and selection but your choice in this matter is baffling. The lifetime value of a customer alone should have been enough for you to do the right thing. The proof should have cleared up any questions. Our children were there to witness the entire event on Mothers Day. Not so classy. We hope you will come to your senses and do the...
Read moreFood appeared to be all premade as it took us longer to have our order taken then it did to receive our order, French toast had to be cut with a serrated knife, bacon was barely warm my husband and I both ordered sides of bacon and you could tell that they just reached in a pan and grabbed bacon as neither one of us had the same amount of bacon. we literally ordered our food in about two minutes later she brought the syrup that we had ordered and said our food will be out in a few minutes she didn’t even get back to the bar and somebody was bringing our food out within about three minutes of us ordering our food the bus girls were very pleasant on top of things picking up cleaning tables sweeping but our waitress never introduced herself to us and never wrote anything down that we ordered was very standoffish we will never be back. This was our first time here we should’ve included with your only two tables in the store besides us when we walked in and only one more came in after us I would not recommend this...
Read moreThe food was excellent, the service was very caring and good, the atmosphere could use a little work since it seemed like there were multiple themes competing at once but really, for a diner in the middle of Scottsdale it was comfortable and very cute. Tried my first liver and onions here when I was traveling and was surprised by how good it was- the country gravy on the biscuits and gravy I got was really tasty as well. Our server was great and took special care of us. It's usually never busy here, at least not more than a handful of people, but I think once word catches on it'll start being much more popular. Very nice to get a bite here in the late spring. Not much of a view out the windows aside from the parking lot, but the outside patio was a nice touch. Clean restrooms as well. Overall, very friendly servers, surprisingly good food and a confusing atmosphere. I like this...
