i’m not one to shine light on negative things, but this hurt me after three years of working at (Mansours) I was completely utterly disrespected on Saturday by the owner Carolyn Catalano and her brother Michael Baldi a fellow server, during our Saturday morning busy shift Michael’s wife calls the restaurant phone. I’ll tell her that it’s busy and then I will have Michael john call her back and when i get to him, i then let Michael know that she called. three hours later, Michael then proceeds to come behind the bar yelling at me telling me that if his wife calls, I am to bring the phone right over to him or put it on hold until he is ready to answer her. This is the restaurant phone we are talking about. at this time I am responsible of taking take out orders/ me to order coffee drinks/ and customers sitting at the bar. Michael john then continue to harass me for about 30 minutes coming behind the bar telling me that I didn’t understand the power dynamic and that he was above me and that if his wife calls that I need to drop anything and everyone that I am helping to bring him the phone. remind you, his wife is not ordering pick up. She is not ordering takeout. She’s not placing an order for food and she is calling on the restaurant phone just to talk to michael. Michael then proceeds to tell me that I am terminated and that I need to leave right away, I the brought this matter to the owner carolyn she then said that she did not want to deal with the drama and I said I didn’t want to deal with the harassment so then she told me to just leave. And then reached out to carolyn not only Saturday after the event Sunday Monday and I did not hear back from her until Tuesday in which she stuck by Michael john’s decision to terminate me.
This breaks my heart. 3 years working there. it hurts that I’m never going to serve the customers there again, so if you are reading this as one of my customers that I had a personal relationship with, please feel free to reach out to me. I would love to hear from you and to...
Read moreOk so I'm about to go into detail for this place , I'm local literally 2 blocks away we could go walking, the place: yes it's nice especially if you like historical places it was a market before, everything well conserved, now the waiter: hmmm this guy brought one glas soft water for tow people, we asked for coffee (cappuccino) one of them without foam on top and all spilled in the bottom, the attitude was : interested in giving a service! So he brought also one coffee we had to ask for the second again, the food: took more than 30 min to be made in a Tuesday wich were only 3 tables full including us, scrambled eggs looked darkish wich in my opinion were lacking of oil/ butter and looked more made with water , yes with water,! When I asked for butter the same guy understood water! Well if he wasn't in a run! Would be great so he brought the butter from another table a little discomforted wich made customers us as well, mostly of the time the guy was walking around the place like trying to look busy when it was not, he also forgot to bring the juice included with the dish I asked, never approaches to asked if everything was sok in a meantime the good was delayed, honestly place it's not Worth it especially when they are so many places competing with better food quality, service , ambiance , the 2 stars it's for love to the place that could off been, I feel bad because ethe bill was brought by a lady, young and she looked like very into it the business, so my conclusion is this guy could be a family member trying to ruin or not interested in doing any good for it, I'm not coming back and I do not recommend this place. My husband it's very hard to displease and he acknowledged this guy, for me...
Read moreI've been coming to Mansaur's for 4 years now and have never once been disappointed. Living in this area and visiting many local shops let me say my highest compliment is CONSISTENCE! Many times I've been to a restaurant and had a good meal, then returned only to find it different or changed or not as good. In the past 4 years I have never had such an experience here. Mostly I order breakfast, my boyfriend is in love with the breakfast quesadilla, and it is wonderful every time. I love to order the granana, if you have never had one, ORDER TODAY. Simply perfect in every way. I also love to order scones :) My favorite is anything of the chocolate chip variety, espresso chocolate chip being a favorite. All their pastries are wonderful. Their coffee beverages are also wonderful, lattes and redeyes and all kinds of things. They serve electric city roasting company coffee so bonus points for helping local businesses :)
Lunch at mansaurs is also wonderful. I've had everything on the menu for lunch :) I do love to order the pita and hummus plate, also the chicken salad sandwich, but sometimes a burger is just what you need and their burgers are awesome!
Finally I've had their brunch on Sundays. It is buffet style and the selection of food never disappoints. Usually a pasta dish, eggs, bacon, pancake of some type, a salad, oatmeal, yogurt and grananas and some large roast meat! Really beautiful spread.
I have not been to their monthly dinners but I am sure it is lovely too.
Seating can accommodate a large party as well. Atmosphere is perfect for a weekend morning breakfast. I am an...
