Disappointing Reservation Experience I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with La Cucina. After calling well in advance on Thursday, March 28th to make a reservation for a party of eight on Saturday, April 6th, I expected a smooth and accommodating process. However, my expectations were shattered when, just two days before our planned dinner, on April 4th, I received a call informing me that the restaurant was fully booked and unable to accommodate our party. This last-minute cancellation left me scrambling to find an alternative venue with only a two-day notice. Not only was this inconvenience frustrating, but it also created unnecessary stress and uncertainty for our group. The lack of foresight and organization displayed by La Cucina in managing their reservations is truly disappointing. Furthermore, the manner in which this situation was handled lacked professionalism. A cancellation of this magnitude should have been communicated well in advance, allowing us ample time to make alternate arrangements. Instead, we were left in the lurch, feeling disregarded and inconvenienced. In the future, I hope that La Cucina takes proactive measures to avoid similar mishaps and prioritizes better communication with their patrons. As it stands, this experience has left a sour taste in my mouth, and I cannot in good conscience recommend La Cucina to others until significant improvements are made in their reservation management and...
Read moreI wanted to like La Cucina, especially since I've had friends who have recommended it. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst service experiences I've ever had in a restaurant. My companion and I arrived for an early dinner and the front of house wasn't busy, but there was a party in the adjacent banquet room. The server sat us down and was quite frazzled and very unfriendly. She took our drink orders (two waters) - and 20 minutes later, we still hadn't gotten anything. She looked at our table as she passed to work the party, but didn't stop at our table when we tried to get her attention. The bus person stopped and apologized for the delay and short staffing - she managed to get our server to bring our waters and take our orders, which was again, another unfriendly encounter. Another 20 minutes goes by and there's no food, no appetizers, no further conversation from our server - only more apologies from the bus person. I have to give the busser credit - she was the only one who went out of her way to try to take care of the situation in the front of house. At that point, being only one of a handful of tables in the restaurant, we tipped the busser, canceled our...
Read moreI had high expectations for this place. There was one open table that could have accommodated me, but instead I was forced to sit at the end of a crowded bar (right where all the drinks are set for the servers to take to their tables, so limited room to eat my meal). The option to wait wasn't even presented. The garlic bread was meh; soggy and barely warm. The tortellini soup was basically just broth and not very flavorful. The wild mushroom ravioli was bland at best and overpriced. The mushrooms were rubbery and the sauce tasted like they boiled the spinach instead of wilting it and adding it separately. Hell, at least at Olive Garden you get freshly shredded parmesan, pretty sure they gave me Kraft. Honestly, the worst part was, as a solo diner, that I felt I didn't get the same treatment as the other guests. The larger parties definitely got more attention, you should really treat all of your guests the same regardless of party size. The service was average, but overall I feel I should have asked for my money back. It ended up like gilded lead, pretty, but ultimately...
