Rude, slow, and always getting the order wrong or forgetting food/sauces! I will gladly go out of my way to another McDonalds so I can get at least normal service. Never again.
I don’t choose to eat McDonald’s often but you can get a pretty good amount of food for not a lot of money so we went Saturday evening around 6:30 PM. This location on Keyser is the closest but I have received poor service so many times in the past I try to avoid it. We hit the drive through, got a few burgers, fries, two orders of nuggets and a nugget happy meal. The woman who took the order was polite enough and was sure to ask us what sauces we would like after each nugget order. We wanted BBQ with all three orders, simple enough. She rang it up correctly, we paid, it went smoothly. Then we hit the second window and had to wait several minutes for our food. While it’s annoying, it was no big deal to me as we had gotten a fairly large order. The nice kid hands us the happy meal, and one large paper bag literally loaded to the top with all the burgers, fries, and nuggets we had ordered. Once again, it’s annoying and kind of common sense but no big deal. Before we even ask, he proudly tells us, “All of your BBQ sauces are in the bag!”, to which we kindly thank him and take his word for it.
We get home, unload the food, and not a single BBQ sauce was in our bag or in the happy meal. Seriously? On top of that the nuggets were super dry and hard like they’d been sitting under the heat lamp for longer than their hold time so we were extra annoyed they didn’t give our sauces after assuring us so confidently that they had. We had to call three times before someone finally answered the phone, we explained the situation, and the answer we got was “Well can’t you just come back and get them?” I was shocked because I have literally never received such a rude response from someone in the service industry. We explained to them that it was absolutely not practical for us to pack up our two year old daughter and drive all the way back for sauces they told us were in the bag, so may we please receive some sort of credit or compensation. In response, they hung up on us. Despite my previous negative experiences, I wouldn’t have bothered leaving a review if I wasn’t just appalled by the extreme lack of customer service. I have worked in the service industry for ten years in all sorts of positions at all types of restaurants including McDonald’s so I understand the pressure during a dinner rush. That being said, it is no excuse for such horrible service and attitudes. I will absolutely be calling during the week to speak to a manager.
While I’m here writing this review and on the topic of managers, the young woman Lisa who is a manager at this location during the morning is another one with a complete lack of customer service skills, let alone management skills. She has to be one of the most unprofessional people I’ve ever met in a management position even at a fast food chain. If I didn’t know you had to be 18 to be management in Mcdonalds I would assume she was just a child working her first job. It’s quite embarrassing to hear a manger say things like “Yea my boyfriend said he’s just a dick” in front of a restaurant of...
Read moreThis location will pull every single car into a curbside pickup spot, no matter how much you order. Until every spot is full then they'll continue pulling cars which are now parking/blocking the exit so other people can't even exit properly. You then have to wait two - three times longer for your food and 9 times out of 10 it's WRONG anyway. From now on I'll drive further away to a different location to get food, most likely not to a mcdonald's even though it used to be my favorite fast food joint... Because of these experiences I will not give this establishment a dime more. I've written to the owner and they don't care. I've called and spoken to a manager and they don't care. They just blame "short staffing" well I don't believe being short staffed is an excuse to not do your job properly. I know you're trying to make your drive thru times look better, well it's not appreciated at the customer level but at least management might think you're doing your job OKAY because of your quick drive thru times. You're NOT though. You lost my family as customers and I honestly hope this review makes you lose more. I've been coming here for years and I can't remember the last time I had a good experience and enough is enough. I'll be visiting Wendy's and Burger King more frequently for sure. At least they keep me in the drive thru which is the way I opted to get my food. I thought it was called a "drive thru" not a "drive half way thru then park in a parking spot then wait twice or three times as long as your food then back out a spot then finish driving - thru" they also usually get my food right. Not to mention the safety of their employees! Numerous times I've seen employees almost get hit by cars backing out of curbside pickup spots while taking food to other cars. If I could give this location 0/5 stars I...
Read moreOk I'm not one to make a big deal and complain, i usually just shrug it off and move on. I'm struggling really bad. Sometimes I don't eat for days my car barely runs. So i was excited to go to McDonald's when i was able to get a hold of ten bucks. I was starving, hasn't eaten for 2 days. So i planned to go to mMcDonald'sit and relax and Eat.i don't go out much cause it's a gamble with my car and scared to get stuck cause I'm on oxygen and it runs out after some time. Anyway, i took the chance and went to McDonald's on Keyser Ave on Thursday sep 6th.i order a big Mac meal and 4 piece nuggets. I sat down ready to eat and the burger was cold cheese not melted funny tasting lettuce, the fries where beyond over cooked. And the coke which usually is fantastic tasted more like Seltzer. The nuggets didn't even taste anything like chicken. I didn't complain cause we all know the risk of a cook getting mad about complaints and maybe doing something to the food. So i took 2 bites to atleast stop the rumbling in my stomach and was going to leave everything on the table without throwing out my garbage and just leaving a bit mess. But thanks to my parents raising me to be a respectful human i just couldn't do it. So i threw 8 bucks worth of food away and left very frustrated. I ran my car on empty to get there. McDonald's was so much better when i was a kid the food just doesn't taste the same anymore. Guess I'll just pray for another ten bucks to fall in my hands and I'll go to the supermarket and buy the meat and cook...
