Had my first experience here a few weeks ago and purchased a wide variety of desserts. The cookies are amazingly delicious as we're the breakfast style pastries (cream cheese danish and strawberry strudel)! I got one of each of the macarons which honestly didn't impress me much as I found them not as fresh and overwhelmingly sweet so much so that it was nearly impossible to decifer the flavor combinations. I found the PB cake brownie very dry, not very fresh, and too sweet overall. I also tried the pie bars both apple and blueberry which were underwhelming, mushy, and bland. Those were my least favorite items personally. I'd gladly go back any day of the week for more of the linzer & thumbprint cookies! I suggest if you visit to give those a try as they are probably the best I've tried in a very long time; buttery, lightly sweet, and melt in your mouth! I came here to pick up a cake for my nieces 2nd birthday. The cake was great! It was the customer service I was not happy with. I do understand the importance of each consumer and in saying that each consumer is important. When I entered the establishment there was another person in front of me with her two children picking out desserts. The customer and server/cashier were having a conversation that was personal. Again I understand long time customers converse about personal matters. It was the fact that the conversation was over 10 mins and the server/cashier did not acknowledge my presence in the store. I love a good sugary treat. Bought 3 cupcakes (for nearly 9 dollars) and threw them away. Disgusting. The frosting was as hard as cold butter and just as greasy. Gritty and and overwhelming taste of food dye. The cake was stale with a fine crumb that made the cake weak and dry. I genuinely do not get how you have a nearly 5 star rating the 2 girls working were ungrateful for the (undeserved) tip as they helped someone before me though I had been waiting there. Not to mention continuing to gossip to each other NEVER engaging any of the customers past telling them their bill. You would do infinitely better with a 2$ box of little Debbie's.
