This was a poor experience right from the beginning. When we arrived the hostess who apparently didnât get paid to smile told the couple in front of us that there was a 45 minute wait for indoor seating to which the customer was complaining because there was no line and it appeared that there were seats available. Ironically, that same customer got seated inside within five minutes and we did also! There was also a empty dining room on the second level. Oh did I mention it was starting to rain outside? The average age of the wait staff seemed about 16 1/2 years old and my very kind waiter couldnât elaborate at all on one of the entrĂ©es I asked about. The table next to us received their food and there was no silverware on the table and I assumed it wouldâve gotten to them within a minute but it took more than five minutes which was unfathomable in my mind. Needless to say they werenât happy at all. We received our food and this was the only highlight of our visit, the food was pretty good. Every time I needed something though I had to struggle to find my waiter because none of the other servers or even the manager were interested in making eye contact with me. I requested some tartar sauce for my fish and surprisingly they didnât stock that, so I asked for some cocktail sauce and they didnât stock that either. Pretty odd for a restaurant that serves several fish entrees. Well the table next to us had some more troubles, one of the guests didnât like their food and asked to return it and the waitress said well Iâm sorry you feel that way which I thought was an odd thing to say instead agreeing with the customer and apologizing. Finally I had to get out of my seat to find my waiter so I could tell him I was ready to pay and then waited another five minutes for him to process my credit card. The whole vibe from the entire staff was simply an unenthusiastic crew following their detached manager who seemed to care less what was going on in her restaurant. When youâre paying $20-$30 for an entrĂ©e a poor wait staff can easily spoil your whole experience. Iâd almost rather go to a restaurant with fair food but kind and courteous service. My advise, get a manager that cares about your restaurant and train your staff how to serve. Itâs a fact of life that young people are kind of incompetent but go to a Chick-fil-A they figured it out and they pay their employees a lot less than youâre paying yours. Sorry wonât...
Read moreI have never left a bad review ever but I had such an awful experience at the Seabright location yesterday that I feel itâs warranted.
First I called ahead and asked if they make to-go pina coladas, they said yes so I ordered two. About 5 minutes later they called me back and said âoh those drinks you ordered, we donât make those actuallyâ. No problem, I then change the order to two Coco Ritas. I proceeded to wait 30 minutes after calling ahead for two drinks to go - a half empty restaurant mind you. I paid the $31 tab ($31 for 2 drinks) Iâm fairly certain they never put the actual order in and forgot I was waiting.. finally the margaritas come out and they are 3/4 full in the small to go cup. Now Iâm not unrealistic and I get that itâs pricey to dine out and drinks are usually pricey. To pay $31 and wait so long for two drinks and they canât even fill the cups up, to me itâs reasonable to complain. After speaking to the hostess I then spoke to the manager who explains that they are normally served in smaller glasses but agrees to âget them filled upâ. She headed to the bar with the drinks and a minute later Iâm called over by the bartender who asks me, with an attitude if I just want club soda to fill them the rest of the way or do I want to pay for a second shot .. After saying no, Iâll just take the drinks and be on my way, she proceeds to top the margaritas off with club soda anyway. Cool, thanks - now I have two super watered down drinks for $31. She knew this and just gave me a look like âoh wellâ. No one had any intention on fixing the issue. I never had the food but after the experience, insanely overpriced drinks and rude bartender, I would...
