I ordered 2 milkshakes and while the nice young lady was filling the ice cream and syrup she finds they were out of milk. So I ordered a vanilla soft serve instead, again they were out of ingredients. Before I could say that I won't take anything else, the owner walks up and adds a snarky comment saying they're closing next week so not buying any more milk for milkshakes...then repeated it twice more. Apparently she felt it necessary to speak to me like I'm 2 yrs old. Whatever. The attitude wasn't necessary. Have been going to Yum Yums since I was a kid. It's one of the best places to get dessert at the NJ shore. Traditional ice cream place with fabulous choices. They have sundaes, fresh hot waffles made to order, ice cream (dipped and soft serve), sugar free ice cream, frozen yogurt, gelato, milkshakes and more. Choose one of their sundae selections on the board of make your own. Portions are generous. One thing to note is that the lines can get long later in the evening. We stopped by Yum Yum Ice Cream and tried the toasted coconut, coconut almond joy, vanilla, and chocolate chip cookie dough flavors and they were all delicious! Each one was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. They have a wide variety of flavors to choose from, so there’s something for everyone. The service was great, and it's the perfect spot to cool down with a sweet treat after a day at the beach. They usually offer samples, but since it was busy for the 4th of July, they had to pause them which is understandable....
