We have all anxiously awaited this place to open. We sat at the bar. Bartender was friendly and on his game. We only had one drink each. Was fine. They ran out of some items. Understandable since they are new. The taco meat in my taco was pretty salty but still good. Beef fajita meat was tasty but I only ordered one taco that way. S.O. was recommended this chicken plate and I tried the chicken…very tender. The enbrochette shrimp needed dipping sauce…maybe garlic butter? They forgot my beans but quickly brought them out when reminded. Our problems started when the bartender left. I think his shift ended but he never told us. Never closed us out. It took us a good 20-30 minutes to get a box and get checked out. Two girls and a manager that would pop in and out of the bar…after trying to get both of the girls attention, neither of them came over to check on us. I finally got up and walked over to the front of one of them and requested our tab. S.O. was paying with cash. It was $71. He pulled out a $50 and a $20 and couldn’t find a smaller bill so we gave her another $20. I was expecting $19 in change to do her tip. She handed me $7. I looked at the receipt and she keyed in $80 not $90 so I had to go back up to them again. The other girl corrected the mistake without saying much. I’m hoping it was an honest mistake. I am an accountant. If the bar was slammed, I would have understood but the bar is not overly big and was maybe 1/2 full. I watched the two of them focusing on putting glasses away and making drinks but there needs to be more training or additional staff there to actually tend to the customers. The first bartender seemed to get that but after he left, it went downhill. I’m sure this is mostly growing pains. I would go back but probably try sitting at a table and maybe try an order of beef fajitas. They have many choices of rice and beans so that is nice. I wish...
Read moreWe stopped at Margarita Jones in Seabrook today, and will not go back. We were approached by a gentleman that asked what we wanted to drink and was very nice, went downhill fast from there. Asked the waitress about the carnitas, she said the were good, but they were out of them, ordered a crispy taco and cheese enchilada with charro beans, daughter ordered 2 tacos with rice. A young man came out ten min. later and told us they were out of crispy taco shells, I changed my taco to a beef enchilada, daughter changed to soft tacos. Waited 20 min. food came out...wrong, they took it back, 15 min later brought it back still wrong. Then we were told it would be 10 more min. before the kitchen would fix it?? I was late for an eye appointment and the next thing they brought us to go food and told we needed to pay for our drinks for 7.50..got home SURPRISE, the order was wrong...BTW, ranch style beans are NOT...
Read moreYay, I’m glad that they are open and that business is doing well! The first time I tried to go, it was extremely busy so I had to come back another day.
When I returned again, it wasn’t too busy so I was able to eat during my lunch hour. I was greeted and seated by Austin who was very kind and welcoming. My served was Christian and he was also very kind and informative about the menu and offered his suggestions. I ordered the lunch Chicken quesadillas with Cilantro Rice and Black Beans ($12.99) The portion was tasty and large and I felt very full! The quesadillas and their fixings were absolutely tasty. I liked the flavor of the cilantro rice but the texture was a little interesting to me. I also would like to try the charro beans next time.
It was amazing because I was able to be seated, eat, pay and leave all within 30 minutes! Great job Margarita Jones, I look forward to...
