Shogun Japanese Restaurant — Restaurant in Seaford

Okay so if you’re getting takeout, Shogun is fine. They have online ordering which is convenient and fairly simple. Their prices are pretty reasonable as well. The udon noodles and sushi were delicious. Skip the flavored lemonade if you aren’t a fan of syrupy fruit. The strawberry lemonade seemed to have the syrupy strawberries you would use for ice cream topping in it. If you want to dine in and have the option to go elsewhere, do it. We stopped in for dinner one night while in the area and the woman at the host stand was so rude. There were several people standing around with no way of telling if they were waiting for a table or takeout without asking each person. When we figured out no one else was waiting for a table, I approached the woman at the front. She had been handling takeout orders, so I waited until there seemed to be a break in orders to ask for a table. She snapped at me that she was busy and waved me off. While we were debating whether to leave or not, another employee came a few minutes later to take us to a table. Our table appeared to be mostly clean but it was hard to tell as it was poorly lit. The service thereafter was slow and disorganized. The food was decent but the experience was horrible. We likely won’t bother ordering from here...

I like the sushi (snow mountain)! But as I was ordering the other day, I asked how much was the little side salads stacked up by the register. The young lady who waited on me said $3 but it was just lettuce so I was not paying $3…so I very politely declined. So when I was being checked out, the lady was pretending like she was gonna pack a salad in with my food, patted around the box as if to give me a hopeful climax and then place the salad back into the stack of others waiting to be purchased. 🤣 I thought it was hilarious that she was so offended that she thought to tease me. Anyway, they are quite delicious little salads but if you’ve got shredded lettuce, diced cucumbers, and minced cabbage bits (which is the secret kick) you’ve got the same thing! Throw some pepper and ranch on it! They don’t even put diced tomato on it! But you can and share with others for $3. I like the food there but I can agree with everyone else about...

Worst customer service ever! I was hung up on 4 times while trying to make the same order and get info and pay for it. The only reason they get 3 stars is because they have ok food. But every time I call and try and ask a question before I order they hang up on me it’s quite frustrating. They then get your number and hang up before you can ask anything else. It happens every time! I have ordered 3 times from here and I’m over it. Next time I’ll drive 45 minutes to Salisbury or over an hour to Easton to get good sushi & hibachi and not be hung up on.
