First I want to say the service was amazing. All the staff was very nice and checked on us frequently and even made sure that a food allergy I had was addressed. The food itself was not fantastic but it is what you would probably expect at a chain restaurant.
Now for the atmosphere. The floor was sticky. I spent most of the meal trying to figure out if it was because of years of buildup of grime or if carpet had been pulled up and there was still sticky tack left on the floor. It also briefly crossed my mind that maybe they make it a little tacky so that employees don't slip while carrying a bunch of food, but my most likely guess would be that some type of flooring had been removed and there was still tack left on the floor. However, it gave an overall feel that the floor was not clean. Even if I went to move my feet while I was sitting, you could hear my shoe lifting up from the floor as it unstuck. My husband had a different experience as when we entered the area at the back of the restaurant where we were to sit, he almost slipped in the entrance way, and I later heard another customer say the same thing after she just came in.
Then part way through the meal my husband went to pick up his cell phone which had been sitting close to the wall on the table. He had to wipe it off because it was somehow all wet. We looked up and an air conditioning or fan unit above the table was quickly dripping water. We had already started to eat and there was absolutely no other table available, so we did stay there to finish, and we did let our server know you said he would have it addressed. I understood of course we couldn't move and they probably also didn't want to have someone stepping all over the seat while people were trying to finish their meal at that table so it did continue to drip throughout the remainder of the meal. Again, the server was very attentive to it and apologized a couple of times about it even though he doesn't really have any control over it. If I were to venture a guess, the soda machine was on one side of the wall to the entrance that we went into to sit. The air conditioning unit was on our side of the wall but further in. I almost wonder if there was some type of drain or filter, something like that, that had backed up which caused water to drip from both locations that were serviced by that drain or filter. Then again it could have just been either a leaky soda machine or someone spilling stuff, and then a whole other issue with the air conditioner. I don't know but it just seemed kind of odd that even though they weren't in the exact same place they were in very close proximity.
So we probably won't be going back as the sticky floor just leaves the worst impression on me. If you can hear your shoes picking up from the floor, it just kind of sours you want to place. We were sitting far enough into the table that I don't think any of the dripping water would have splashed into the food, but if there had been four people instead of two at the table, then it would have definitely been getting at least one person and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst off, my boyfriend found stuff in his water so our waitress(Sherri who was fantastic!) took it back without any hesitation. Now, before she was able to come back for me to say thank you, the "food runner" Jasmine came out with our food. Before I even start with this girl, out salad bowls were empty with our saucer plate on top of them waiting to be cleaned off the table. Instead of her putting the food down and taking our bowls she stared at us with the worst look for us to pick them up which she proceeded to practically throw our plates at us and didn't put them on the table because that was too much for her to do, SHE SLAMMED OUR PLATES DOWN IN FRONT OF US. As we sat there holding our salad bowls she asked if we needed anything. My boyfriend politely said "A1 please" and she walked off. SHE WALKED OFF AS WE WERE HOLDING OUR SALAD PLATES!!!!!! By that point I was beyond angry. I walked up to the greeter desk and asked for the manager which the owner Keith came out and introduced himself. I let him know about the water incident and proceeded to tell him about Jasmine's attitude problem and how she obviously can't stand being around people. He apologized and said he would take care of it. He brought out another water for my boyfriend I guess as a "just in case" precaution. But as I looked for this girl Jasmine she was not talked to or anything and she still proceeded to give multiple tables attitude as I watched her. When I sat down at our table my mom took a bite out of her chili which she spit back out because it was ice cold. We let Sherri know who was amazing again and brought out a new bowl of chili almost burning hot. We got our bill and nothing was done about the cold chili or the awful attitude from Jasmine. I don't mind paying full price for good service and great food but both were lacking today. As we walked out he owner Keith and his staff were standing around upfront and not one person said have a great day or bye. This is literally the only bad experience I have ever had by any Texas Roadhouse and I can tell you it will be the last. This was beyond awful. I have decided to take my complaint to corporate and allow them to deal with the situation because apparently the only person who didn't lack anything was Sherri. Sherri, you rock and you're amazing! Keep up the great customer service. Jasmine, you shouldn't work with the general public and if you hate your job that much then get a desk job where you don't have to deal...
Ā Ā Ā Read more"Rare steaks are literally rare here" So I've been coming here since 2019 and I absolutely used to love Texas roadhouse. (Camden was always my go to TR in years past) William seems really nice but doesn't care about my opinion and is isn't interested in fixing the problems they have. The service manager (short woman) wanted to argue with me about how steaks that were brown in the middle were "rare". I've probably sent back 27 steak in the past 4 years. All overcooked or burnt. This "grill master" has worked here for 25 years and I'm not impressed. He apparently forgot where the seasonings are as well as your blue rare steak on a 500 F grill for 15 minutes. If you like burnt, charcoal crusted flavorless well done steaks, cheese fries with no salt or seasonings, greenbeans straight out of the can with no flavor, a Ceasar salad that looks like it was dressed in watered down milk as opposed to actual dressing, or a MANAGER that argues with the customers about steak temperatures YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE!!! If you actually enjoy a properly cooked steak you are better off going to OLIVE GARDEN, APPLEBEE'S, RUTH CHRIS, LONGHORN, YOUR DADS BBQ, A WORK PARTY, MCDONALD'S OR LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE!!! They had the nerve to discount the check with "GC" guest complaint rather than just removing my meal. Tried to get a 2nd steak as well as the wifes medium rare was WELL DONE THE 1ST TIME. Came out medium well on the 2nd try.... It was fully cooked trash completely burnt on one side only. Just stopped them from bringing anything else. Lost my appetite..... Save your money. I'm not ever coming back here. Really sad honestly. Maybe if the owner decides to fire the 500F grill master this place could head in the right direction. But William assured me they will never do that..... I could post 1000 pictures but I'll post just two of a takeout order from 8 months ago..... Just check out the burnt flavorless "extra rare" steak and pathetic tiny glop of mashed potatoes..... This picture is actually one of the least burnt steaks I got from this...
