The locals get discount coupons, but some how there is a trend since it first open, for less customers, as there prices have gotten up. Some times the zuccine and onion rings come out burned or over cooked. Those items are not consistent. I would say there is now a lack of consistency of how the burgers are prepared. There was a lady manager that was just down right mean for a couple of years with the customers, that may have driven the locals away. The new manager is friendly. When they first opened there was a "Salsa" bar, where you could get three types of salsa, and hot Chile's, then it was removed, some of the Hispanic customers started dropping out. Then the little stuff usually found at each table, like mustard, ketchup, sugar, etc started being removed from the tables. The napkins in the containers at each table not being refilled, and the customers would have to look for refills. Another example, there were plastic forks and spoons, readily available by the soda macines, now you have to ask for them. I would say it has become, less inviting. And that may be one of the causes of losing their return customer base. Now it is a former shell of when they first opened up.
Update October 8 2018. Amenities are disappearing ! The ketchup dispenser with the little cups is gone , and also gone were the salt/pepper shakers and the paper napkin dispensers. It seems each new management that takes over, keeps removing the amenities that the customers have been used to having. It's becoming a bare bones in amenities, and just a generic basic service fast food hamburgers joint. Kinda sad...its heading to just a one star generic fast food joint, with very little amenities, it's no wonder the local clientele is disappearing and only new people passing by going to the beach are...
Read moreThe restaurant is clean. The bathroom is clean. The service is very blah. Came in to pick up my order since I like ordering through the app, the person behind the counter said "what order pick-up?" At first I thought I placed my order through the wrong restaurant but then she finally decided to check, and sure enough it was in their order queue. So I had to wait for the order I placed in advance. Next I asked for mayonnaise, "we don't have mayo at this time." (Side note, I always have mayo packets in the car just for cases like these). I don't really know what happened to Carl's Jr but the food has gone downhill. The burger buns were dry, the burger structure looked like it was done by a juvenile. The burger patties itself looked like it was imported from a morgue and well over rigor mortis. The only thing that went uphill, the price! You can get hit over $10 for a meal if you're not careful, sometimes close to $15 for their better items like the Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger combo.
Update 02/08/2024: It's been over 9 months since I first visited this place, what an improvement in customer service over the months that followed! The service is way better now. Diana the person behind the counter that is usually in when I come in is very pleasant and juggles both drive-through window and front counter order taking and fulfillment effortlessly. Behind the scenes, my order is always prepared as I customized. The bathroom (men), although a lot of traffic, customers or otherwise, remains surprisingly clean! The restaurant itself remains clean in every visit since my first! Even the (manager, not sure) Efren is very pleasant to talk to. Great job, Well done! Read moreThe Carl's Junior in Seal Beach off Seal Beach Boulevard across from Chase in the little Plaza off Seal Beach Boulevard in Westminster has got the worst customer service I've ever seen I waited 15 minutes and then I seen my criss cut fries put up under the heat lamp the lady working the drive-thru was doing a great job the lady that took my order I thought was good but then everything went to pieces and when I finally said something almost 20 minutes later the lady told me oh I can have her cook the hamburger right now and I told her no I just want my money back and then I heard the lady in the back o such a whiner there was only two other people in the restaurant part eating so they weren't busy like I said the drive-through lady was doing a fantastic job helped about 15 cars while I was there. I've had problems at this Carl's jr. Before and have called several times always told I will get a call back that my call was important but obviously it's not for the price they have raised their prices to you think the customer service could be quicker I think it's called fast food thank you that's why I wait in the line sometimes...
