Subway — Restaurant in Seal Beach

Manager is overly friendly and hires really miserable and unfriendly employees. I accidently left my credit card in the machine and the customer behind me decided to tell me as he walked by... (so nice of him)! No one that worked there mentioned it at all. After I ate my sandwich I came into retreive it. The lady looked at me with a totally straight face, didn't say a word, waited for me to ask for my card back and then she took it out from her pocket without flinching... like she knew it was mine the whole time!... & still didn't say anything... so weird.

...I'm so glad the customer said something, else I would have left without it... It would have only taken any of them 6 steps to let me know that I left my card... made me feel a little uncomfortable... like she may have copied down the number or was...

I was at this location at 0715. I was not going to be able to get off base for lunch so I decided to stop by to prepare myself for the afternoon. The sign and the web specifically states its open for business at 0700 but the employee was just setting up so I gave it a couple minutes bc she'd seen me standing outside. After waiting I knocked and she just turned around and rudely just gave me the "slit the throat" signal..assuming she meant they're closed. Well I could be more understanding and possibly wait a couple more minutes if she kindly and simply acknowledged that she was late to open or if the times are incorrect then it should be updated. Needless to say I left without a lunch and with a rude gesture from this place which if she'd eventually opened up I'm not sure if like to be...

The food is the same quality as a typical Subway. The restaurant is very clean and well maintained. The staff doesn't seem to have much interest in customers. While they make the sandwiches, they don't show any interest in the customer. It's all very much about getting you out the door. I've been here many times and it is always the same.

UPDATE: Nothing has changed sonce the last time I posted this with the following exceptions. They are out of most breads and cheeses. Also their "new" menu is confusing. What's a "Pro" sandwich? Why does a 12" cost twice as much to toast as a 6"? It's the same oven toasting 1 time. Subway is slipping from...
