ONE OF THR MOST DISAPPOINTING SANDWICHES IVE EVER DHAD. I FERL CHEATED. Not sure why this is so highly rated. Asked if the cold sandwich special or the meatball sandwich was recommended. It was the meatball &!8 went with it. Huge mistake. More breadcrumbs than meat, lacking flavour, very little sauce so super dry & the added on cheese was nearly nonexistent. It was barely even warm. If there had been enough sauce on there to taste let alone drop off or have to be licked up I could tell you if I even that was anything special, but not even enough to cut through the breadcrumbs & bread. Why ask me if I would like to add cheese if you're not going to have it melting off, but rather one tiny corner bite of it? I hate chain food, but I could guess that Subway is better than this. I'm from Chicago. I grew up with amazing Sicilian food. My uncle & his 16 siblings made it all by scratch. Even my NY Italian guy back in Newport Beach makes a meatball to crave not a breadcrumb ball. Also, extreme lack of service. Young man to take my order annoyingly distracting & irritating anxiety provoking Brot rapidly tapping his fingers rather than asking or taking to me about their extensive menu & then just walked away! I had to catch a girl to take my order. There was no atmosphere. No one checked on me, asked me anything or even spoke to me. So much for the friendly family owned business. It was extremely depressing. There are numerous restaurants there Mediterranean, Sushi, Ramen, etc..even a wrap from the excellent Starbucks next door would've been much more satisfying. Don't waste your money or time here when there are so many better options. I know you Californians don't have about Italian food, but this is not it. Gastric Distress from Gluten filled...

The restaurant I wanted to go to in the same shopping center closed early so I decided to come here. Wow I am so glad that I did. I ordered the sausage and peppers sandwhich. I added mozzarella cheese and got their delicious sauce on the side. This was probably the best Italian sausage sandwich I have ever had. The sauce was so good. The sausage was delicious. Their prices on their meats and cheese are excellent and cheaper than grocery stores. I had no idea they manufacture so many items! All their pizza toppings they manufacture except for the veggies! Crazy! I was talking to the owner or manager not sure but he was super nice. During the covid lockdown they were majorly helping out the community with items the grocery store did not have and did not price gouge. I wanted to love this place so much. It is beautiful inside, and the Italian market items are amazing. I had the Special sandwich, and I am sad to say it was just ok, and by the second half, I didn't want to eat it anymore. There was something off about the composition of the meat and cheese selection, the lettuce is not crispy, and the bread was fresh, but so chewy that I had to literally gnaw away on it to bite through it. I adore fresh bread but I thought that was maybe a bit much. I think the main issue I have with the sandwich is that they just use mustard and mayo as condiments, and it was very mustard-forward. To me, mustard should not even be around an Italian meat sandwich, but maybe that's just me. It's possible I ordered the wrong thing and I need to order something else next time or ask them to take it easy on...
