You MUST come and try this place! We live in the neighborhood and were regulars at Fat Hen. The new name is quirky and prices seemed steep for waffle sandwiches, so it took us awhile to come in. Yall, the food was next level amazing. It’s obvious everything is made from the heart. We had the hashbrown scramble with fried chicken and it was perfect - topped with housemade kimchi and drizzled with chili oil and a lemon maple aioli. The melt in your mouth tender Italian beef waffle sandwich comes with a fresh green salad (or hashbrowns) and I didn’t know lettuce could be so delicious. Worth every penny. Dessert was a crispy yet chewy sesame ginger cookie and adorable cosmic brownie. The owners are working to expand the menu, and we’re excited to come back and try new items!

Cute neighborhood shop and very friendly staff. The food could beat most of the brunch places in Seattle and would be better if there’s more variety in the menu. However it didn’t match the expectation of the price we paid. I loved the novelty brought out by the fusion. I had a little hesitation when ordering salmon hash but it turned out pretty good. The potatoes’ crispiness offsets the soft texture of salmon. Kimchi and sauce buried in the hash brought a freshness in the mouth and balanced out any greasiness the hash would’ve had. The heating didn’t work quite well and it was a bit cold in a winter morning. And it’d be nice if staff could point out the specialties on the wall. Would recommend to friends.

I loved the old restaurant in this spot and saw the great reviews so decided to try it. First off, the decor and ambiance is lame - they kept the old furniture and layout, which was very nice and like an old cottage home, but slapped up some neon signs of a rooster on a skateboard and a shelf full of neon knickknacks. No one with an aesthetic sense put this together - it’s like a cheap paint over.

Service was fine but incomplete. They served tea with no way to dispose of the bad we had to ask several times for cream and sugar.

Then the menu: I think every 5 star reviewer was drunk or just lying. The flavor profiles are disgusting. I love kimchi but they just took a southern staple like chicken and waffles and added a glob of kimchi. There was no harmony to the dishes at all. The scramble was a mish mash of strange flavors, again taking a diner staple of eggs on hash browns and adding briny flavors. The weekend special was eggs Benedict but in reality it was half a waffle with two poached eggs, some drops of chili oil on top and no bechamel sauce. And half a plate of unseasoned hash browns for 24 bucks. A total ripoff.

Guys, I love you want to celebrate your Korean roots but this...

Let me preface this by saying that I am not typically a fan of chicken and waffles style dishes. Or at least, I thought I wasn’t. Then I tried the sandwiches they have here. OH MY GOODNESS. I legitimately feel like my eyes have been opened to an entirely new culinary world.

I went here with a buddy and we tried the brisket sandwich and the chicken sandwich. We decided to go halfsies and both of them were among the best tasting sandwiches I’ve ever had. And easily the best waffle-sandwiches I’ve ever had!

I had to leave Seattle for the airport after eating here, and you best believe I carried my leftovers on the plane and ate them when I arrived home in another state.

This place is the truth!!! I cannot wait to return. It bears mentioning how friendly the staff was too! Nelson the owner took care of our table and man, what a professional. I look forward to being in his care next time I come in.

Seriously, just go to this restaurant. It’s a Game changer and my new go-to whenever...

Best new brunch spot in town. The food and drinks flavors are so unique and pair perfectly together. The service is beyond attentive and reaches a caliber that is unmatched in Seattle, especially compared to the service (or lack there of) of it's predecessor. Additionally, it's refreshing to have a place with an atmosphere and decor that strives to break the mold and stray from the path of the dreary millennial gray and sterile decor that has flooded the Seattle scene since the techie takeover.

I cannot recommend this place enough. I know the prices seem steep for waffle sandwiches, but once you taste one, you will understand why. They use nothing but the freshest and highest quality ingredients and you can tell everything is made by people who have a love for food and drink. My suggestions would be anything with the fried chicken (hands down best in town) or the Seitan and Mushroom Bennie. The latter might be one of the best flavor combinations I've...
