I picked up dinner here a couple of months ago. It was about 7 pm on a weeknight. I ordered at the counter and waited about 25 minutes. My order included 3 servings of pho. By the time I arrived home ( about a 6 minute drive) the to go containers had completely melted from heat. I unsuspectingly scooped the bag out of my front seat only to find a steaming puddle of pho. This also resulted in burning my arms. Needless to say, I was really shocked. And pretty angry. I called to talk to the owner. I was interrupted and told repeatedly that the product is hot. And that as the customer, I should have been careful. I’m sill not certain how that applies to a product so hot that it melted through plastic lids and styrofoam bowls. Phở Vietnam is the definition of a hole-in-the-wall treasure. Tucked away in Ballard, this unassuming little spot delivers some of the most soul-warming phở you’ll find anywhere in Seattle. The broth is rich, clear, and deeply flavorful—the kind that’s clearly been simmering for hours, maybe days. It’s comfort in a bowl.
The portions are generous, the ingredients are fresh, and the service is always quick and kind. It’s the kind of place where locals become regulars, and one visit is all it takes to understand why.
No frills, no gimmicks—just pure, perfect phở that hits the spot every single time. If you're a fan of Vietnamese cuisine (or just really, really good soup), this place is not to be...

The broth was bland. The noodles were squishy. The rare beef came out cooked and the quality was poor. The bean sprouts and basil were of fair quality, but puny quantity. They give you one napkin. Just one. Have fun with that. The service is fast, but not served with a smile and not table-side. You have to go up to pay. They charge for to-go boxes. The place is clean enough, but I wouldn't call it clean.
At least it's cheap. But unless I was starved for pho and nothing else was open around it, I would eat at another pho place in a heartbeat before...
