First off I want to say this place is doing fantastic for it's first year. Great food & atmosphere every single time I have gone in here! There are three TV's playing different channels with killer tunes & lights to complete the package.
Really nice folks who work exceedingly hard is a heated kitchen to provide the best & upmost authentic dishes from their homelands.
When you go I highly suggest getting the Derek Tibs if you get the chance as they ruin out quick! If they are out I'd go for the Kitfo is beyond scrumptious!
The Quanta Firfir is quite filling as well if you are looking for some spice in your life as is the Dulet!
Reasonably priced dishes that are great for just one or the whole family that are filling & nutritious!
They have a pretty solid drink selection if you are looking for drink after a long day with drafts coming soon!
I highly recommend this location as a local spot where one can frequently enjoy themselves as they are open later than most places however the kitchen closes down at 1030 so get your orders in before then!

Read moreWe decided to stop for lunch while driving down Ranier Ave. I found this restaurant on Yelp and decided to give it a try. We were able to park in front of the restaurant. Only street parking is available. We arrived at the restaurant at 12:30 pm with 3 people, but there were no customers, probably because it was a weekday. A woman in the store greeted us with a smile. We looked menu and chosen #1 meat combo and 3 of ginger tea. We always eat one plate of Ethiopian food for two people. This time, the meat combo was large, so we ordered one for 3 people. A meat platter with a mix of meat entries are perfect to try. Ginger tea tastes different depending on the restaurant. I usually like sweet ginger tea with honey. But there is no sweetness here, and sugar comes. So adjust sweetness by yourselves. Meat combo comes with 8 kinds of ingredients on the injera. The taste was good and made us full. I would like to try other...
Read moreVery friendly. I came here for lunch alone and everyone was very friendly and welcoming. I was offered to try some Ethiopian coffee as I believe someone else was having the coffee ceremony. I don't normally drink coffee but really appreciated the thoughtfulness and kindness of them sharing. It was good coffee and had a little spice to it, definitely would recommend to try at least once. I ordered the veggie platter and have had it at many other Ethiopian restaurants around Seattle. Here I believe they had 1 or 2 more items on the platter than I am used to. The flavor is amazing, it's some of the best Ethiopian food I have ever had! I feel like sometimes restaurants don't use enough seasonings/spices and might be playing it safe or maybe that's just how they like it. I personally enjoy the spices so was really happy here and will be coming back with my family. Colorful decor inside and clean....
